Arrived at the H10 Tindaya on Saturday evening the 11th September, around 20:45. Asked for a kettle to be delivered to the room. Ok they said, no problem. As of 17:55 12th September, it still hasn't been delivered. Been to reception twice, three phone calls. Makes you wonder that if they can't get something this simple right, what else are they getting wrong? Room 544.

Hotel's Favourite
Attaching the greatest value to tranquility, I was sceptical to book this hotel first, since they also have all inclusive on offer - however doing so turned out to be my best choice! It is almost unbelievable how such a big hotel can be so marvelously calm. The rooms are lovely and very clean, my bathroom was as good as new. The spacious hotel area is very well-groomed and has a lot to offer also for children, there is a beautiful beach right down the stairs. Both breakfast and dinner offered a great variety of delicious things. Covid-19 regulations were taken very seriously, a temperature check was done each time you enter the hotel from the outside. Honestly, I enjoyed every minute of this wonderfully tranquil, relaxing vacation. Hardly ever has it been such a pleasure to return to the hotel after my daily tours. Thank you so much, H10 Tindaya! Hope to be back soon :-)

On arrival to the hotel was told our room wasn’t ready which is disappointing when you have been travelling for nearly 12 hours with young children. Was told by reception that if we grabbed some lunch in the restaurant for half hour it would be ready after. This wasn’t the case and when I said this is disappointing was told abruptly by reception that check in is 3pm and they have to take longer to clean with covid so it’s not their fault. My parents who travelled with us room was ready straight away so not sure knowing we were arriving both couldn't be ready This was the kind of customer service unfortunately we received from majority of staff throughout our trip. It was almost like you’re lucky to be here with covid so just get on with it. Very few members of staff spoke good English and there was a definite language barrier. The hotel is lovely and kept very clean. No complaints about the food although would have been good to be told the Route 66 only opened Friday and Saturday on arrival as by time I came to book was very full although I did complain to reception and they squeezed us in but at a much later time that would have liked as early flight the next day. Mikes coffee shop which was really looking forward to only opened at night! And the drinks truck was open once during our stay on a Saturday. First holiday since lockdown and was very much looking forward to it but was shocked at how rude some staff was and thought that let the hotel down massively.

Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday. Booked just a few weeks prior to arrival as an All Inclusive 7 night break. In summary, these are the positives and negatives: Positives - * lovely location, direct access to the beautiful beach. Can walk for miles in both directions, some tide dependant * all areas sanitised and no issues with cleanliness, cleaners always working hard * food was good, not superb. Plenty cooked on the grill so fresh. Lots of fish if you like fish! Desserts mediocre but they always are IMO * Room adequate size, cleaned everyday but don’t recall a change of sheets. All toiletries provided, hair dryer, fridge, TV (limited channels) * branded alcohol on AI * 3 pools, one salt water which was great for kids with slides on a pirate ship and another chute, very clean * gym adequate (see below) with cleaning products * mikes coffee shop - excellent coffees although only open from 8pm which is a real shame * free pool towels, changeable three times a week * good cocktails Negatives - * the older towel man/lifeguard was rude and an authoritarian * air-con in the room not great * lack of plug sockets in rooms so had to use the lamp sockets but first remove the wall light bulbs for them to charge as on the same circuit * gym equipment not serviced so the rowing machine and a bike was u/s. No water in the gym or on that floor at all * lack of water stations * poor entertainment - the evening area lacked atmosphere * mosquitoes - beware if you attract them like me!! Possibly not helped by the fountains outside the restaurant and running feature by the swimming pools. A couple of other observations - heavily geared to Italians (may be just in current times), massive wasted space outside by restaurant & coffee shop. Would be lovely if some nice seating was placed there for evening relaxation. Would I go back? - yes

Hotel is really nice and is in a great location but we have never know such miserable and even rude staff. Reception is under staffed so always a long wait, very few staff speak English, we stayed all inclusive and from leaving breakfast at 9am nowhere to get a drink until 11am, very poor selection of ice cream on offer for children, could not even buy any, Mike’s cafe and the Daisy truck were only open once in the afternoon in the whole week we were there, no explanation they were just closed,. We liked to eat outside but were plagued by pigeons landing on the table while you are eating, as soon as you go inside for anything they are on your plates it was disgusting and the staff were not bothered, my husband has a severe nut allergy and though we advised of this every night on the app when booking dinner there were no signs on any of the food and staff did not speak English so he gave up and did not have any deserts, such a shame and so disappointing we spoke to some other English guests and they felt the same, will not recommend or ever return to this hotel.
