2 adults and 2.5 year old girl travelling 11/06/23-25/06/23. Visited last year a couple of times and returned this time for a 14 night stay.
Overall a brilliant, compact family hotel which we will return to in the future.
Here’s some in depth, honest opinions we had on this occasion.

BOOKING
H10 member (free to join). Booked for 2 weeks all inclusive direct with the hotel on Black Friday week then added Ryanair flights ourselves. In total the holiday was pretty much half price to what Jet2 were offering.

TRAVEL
Taxi cost us €28 from the airport to the hotel on a Sunday evening, only 20mins max.
2 days before departure I asked the hotel to arrange a private transfer back to the airport. €30 cash only and they just book it through first minute transfers.

CHECK-IN
Didn’t bother with online check-in 48hrs before. Hotel is trying to go paperless so all done on a tablet now. Swift process with all documents emailed to you.
Paid €37 euro for a safe (€10 deposit). So many hotels don’t charge for this anymore. In my opinion it’s crazy that you have to pay to keep your valuables safe.
Pool towel cards handed to you to trade for the towels with the lifeguard by the pools. You get extra if you stay longer than a week.

ROOMS
We got our requested room of 118 which is a ground floor double balcony room in the newly refurbished Gran Canaria block. We had this room last September and it’s undergone a small re-vamp with a new bathroom. Bath has been removed and a walk-in shower installed. Hairdryer and amenity kits provided along with shampoo, conditioner, shower gels. New feature of Daisy shower gel and shampoo for the kids in sachets.
New windows and doors in the apartment which feel more secure and new larger TVs. Mix of international channels, British channels include CBBC, CBeebies, BBC1,2, ITV, Sky Arts, PICK, news channels etc.
Being a H10 member you receive a free beach bag and welcome chocolates.
Kitchenette is well stocked and fridge a decent size. Cot is provided and bed guard can be provided if requested at reception. Beds are 2 singles pushed together but comfy. Sofa bed pulls out but mattress is paper thin. Would recommend moving the mattress onto the sofa for extra comfort.

POOLS
3 pools in total. Baby pool which we only visited a couple of times this holiday. Mild temperature.
Main pool with 3 slides. One slide goes into the shallow area which from 10am onwards is pretty chaotic. Plenty of toddlers so this area is where they can all stand so it’s very busy and loud. Once under the bridge where it’s slightly deeper it calms down a little. The pool is cool but once in it’s fine.
Pool behind the pirate ship is heated. Feels like a bath after coming out of the other pool.
Large inflatables I.e lilos and rings are not allowed so don’t waste your money. Small rings/floats for babies and toddlers are ok to assist with floatation.
So many water guns which look fun but you can’t walk in that pool without getting squirted at some point! I ended up resenting them.

SUNBEDS
One of the biggest reasons we return to this hotel is that there’s no sunbed wars. Unfortunately the first morning we arrived towels were left unattended all around the pool we got up for breakfast.
I enquired a reception as to why this was happening and they mentioned I wasn’t the first to bring this issue to their attention and a management meeting was scheduled for that day.
From the next morning the rule of no reserving sunbeds until 10AM was in full affect. One person can stay with the towels if you wish but if you leave them unattended then the lifeguard will bag your towels up to be collected by his chair. It sounds harsh but this does mean there’s no rush for sunbeds and plenty available all day.

FOOD & DRINK
I have one main gripe. The food is only on a 1 week menu so for our 2nd week we were presented with the same food options which was slightly disappointing, yet there was always something to choose.
Breakfast - large selection of pastries, cereal, fruit, cooked breakfast, pancakes etc. Omelette station only every few days, I wish it was daily.
One note for breakfast, it closes at 10:30. We visited at 10am each morning and it always already felt like the staff were trying to clear things away or they didn’t have certain hot foods topped up. If you asked then it was taken care of.
Evening - You’re requested to book your evening meal on the app. We block booked 19:00 for the entire stay but this isn’t strict at all. You can pretty much turn up when you want. The welcoming maitre’d walks you to find a table which is fine but it really slows the process down and at peak times you have queues out of the door. Never waiting longer that 5mins. Extremely busy from 18:30 - 19:30 so the kids can get to mini disco for 20:00.
Snack bar - great variety with burgers, sandwiches, baguettes , nachos, nuggets etc. Pretty quick service.
Drinks - the variety of drinks is undeniably great but the service is quite often slow. On all inclusive you have Estella on tap and in bottles, branded spirits on request if not they will use house spirits. Soft drinks from a dispenser plus in cans you had Aquarius, Iced Tea and Redbull. (Redbull was only available at the pool bar and was constantly out of stock).
Cocktail menu is ok, designed to make them quick and simple. Can ask for them to be made with branded spirits. We were a fan of the Dark Secret. A frozen daiquiri or even alcoholic slushes would be a real hit.
Regarding the service for drinks. The pool bar can be rather frustrating. A lot of the time you turn up and will be served right away but other times we were queuing out of the door or snaking back past the indoor stage towards the pool tables. Once all I wanted was a coke and it took over 20mins to be served, mainly due to some many cocktails being ordered just slowing the staff down.
Self serve soft drinks would be such a welcome addition but I understand they would struggle to police it with so many on self catering or half board.
New self serve water machines were installed while we were there.
No bottled water anymore, they suggest bringing re-fill bottles from home to take back to the room.
The whippy ice cream from the pool bar is to die for!

The staff in the restaurants and bars are incredibly hard working and super friendly. Nothing is too much of a problem and plenty of them want make your little ones feel special.

ANIMATION
I will start off by saying the animation night time shows are brilliant.
We saw Hakuna Matata twice which was superb.
Dream comes true was a Disney based show which was amazing and so was the Radio Show which debuted while we were there.
The mini disco is on for 30mins every night at 20:00. Daisy comes out to the last song and she is swamped by little people wanting high fives and hugs. She’s like a celebrity. (Daisy doesn’t appear on Sunday nights due to skeleton staff).
The day time activities for the adults were really hit and miss. Fitness activities such as spinning, yoga etc seem to go ok, but not so much for tennis, football, waterpolo etc. During our 2 weeks waterpolo should have been on 9 times. It was only on once and it was a case of the animation team member giving the nets and a ball and letting you get on with it. No participation or encouragement for a game. It lasted about 2mins and the few playing there called it a day. There’s no speaker system so they can’t announce the activities. The suggest finding info on the app or the boards but clearly the majority don’t check those so without being told activities were taking place you were none the wiser most of the time. The team members need to walk around and advertise the activities to encourage involvement obviously without any pressure.

KIDS CLUB
I only ever hear brilliant things about the kids club across all age groups.
This holiday we visited the baby club for the first time which is open 09:00-13:00 mon-fri. This is for 6months-3years. I would say my 2.5 year old enjoyed being there but also felt a little old to be there. So many toys to play with, staff are great with the younger ones, especially if any start crying.
The next age group up was 3-5 year olds, we enquired and they said my 2.5 year old could try out the afternoon sessions to see how she gets on as the mornings are much busier. We didn’t bother in the end but the facilities and activities look great.

Another excellent stay here which is welcoming, relaxing and accommodating.

Just back from a week B&B at the H10 Gardens.

No doubt this is a fabulous family hotel. There is a busy timetable of clubs running for all age groups covering a range of activities. I watched a few from my sun lounger and the staff were professional, enthusiastic and the kids appeared to love them. The pool has perfect slides, theres a safe playground and everything is child friendly regarding hotel facilities.

We were there on a couple trip.. and we felt as well looked after as the families. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was spotless, clean and every day and had the added benefits of a nice kitchenette (micro/fridge/kettle and basic bowls etc) There was a separate lounge area, loads of storage and the beds were super comfortable (we are hard to please as both suffer bad backs ) Bathroom had a good strong shower over the bath and great toiletries available incase you forget bits. Safe in room was €14 euro for the week, we took our own towels but you can get these for a small charge also.

No hassle for sun loungers as plenty available (we were maybe out of season ) I like that you cant reserve them before 10am so no manic early sprints to the pool. The outside areas were immaculate, disinfected every morning and no litter ever in sight.

We only had breakfast, however there was such a vast choice it did not getting boring in the slightest. Plenty for those with food intolerances and all keep fresh and well topped up. This was the only time that the hotel appeared busy and slightly noisy.. but we were totally fine with it and there is a side area slightly further to walk from the buffet but very quiet and relaxed.

On checking out our flight wasn't until 4pm, however we were able to store our luggage and were given access to a specified changing room with shower, toiletries, hair dryer, towels where we could get sorted for our travels home.

Ideally located, 5 minutes to the beach, shops straight across for souvenirs, supermarket etc. Loads of bar, restaurants and points of interest within minutes walk.

All in all we are already planning our next trip. No complaints whatsoever

We spent 9 days here over Xmas with a party of 4 ranging from 10 years old to elderly. We enjoy going away for Xmas and have done so for the past few years so we always look to chose a hotel to suit our requirements. I can honestly say that this hotel and its staff exceeded our expectations. First the accommodation, as the elderly person can't get around very well we emailed the hotel in advance to request a ground floor room, we were provided with 2 lovely rooms connected by a "party" door which made life so easy. The terrace area was superb and a real sun trap. Next the staff, well as others have said, the staff are so friendly and welcoming always happy to have a chat, always with a smile and the guys in the pool bar work so hard but still have a word for all, Roberto in particular. The food was varied, always plenty of choice and we found the salads to be fresh and the meats and hot plates to be hot. We had a lovely meal on Xmas day. The pools are great, yes one is a little bit cold when you first get in but after a time your body adjusts, the heated pool was at times like stepping into a bath and our 10 year old spent most of her time in here. Lifeguards are always on duty and are watchful making sure the kids don't get too carried away. The Anamacion team worked incredibly hard engaging with everyone, lots of games and events only problem now is I can't get "Feliz Navidad" out of my head. Finally location, this hotel is situated in a great spot with the beach, restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. Even the main areas of Teguise are not far away. We booked through Jet2 and flights and transfers were efficient, with the luggage collected from the hotel on the morning of the departure, and we didn't see it again until Manchester. The weather was fantastic and everyone in our little party said they would definitely return. We have stayed at other H10s, Rubicon Palace for example and I would say the Lanzarote Gardens is definitely on par. Thank you for a lovely, festive break Hasta Luego!

Having decided on winter break and having read some terrible reports about H10 Lanzarote Gardens, was very impressed with the hotel all round.
We received fantastic service during our stay 4th to 14th February and had no complaints whatsoever.
The accommodation on the ground floor was clean, modern and served us well as a couple looking for some winter sun.
We went all inclusive and that worked well for us, but you did have to time your meal times in the evening as it did get a little chaotic, but nothing that you could not deal with.
The entertainment staff are very friendly and very good at what that did to keep all age groups entertained, without being in your face and chasing you to take part in stuff.
The poolside bar was very well used by all and if you don`t want to watch the evening entertainment you will get varied singers/groups performing in the bar area, including a young lady called Lydia Lauren who was a delight to listen too.
Also the bar staff especially Patricia Luna was very helpful and friendly every night she was there and she is a wonderful example to your staff.
You also are only five minutes walk from the beach and on the seafront if you wish you can visit other bars.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for either a family holiday or for couples seeking some winter sun.
Even though there are children around there is very little noise and also it was nice to see holiday makers adhering to the no towels out until 10.00am rule, it seems to work well for this complex.
Thank you again staff at H10

A large mixed age group of us stayed here over Christmas. The hotel is very good and staff work very hard. Food was better than the other H10s that we have stayed in in the past. However the mornings are excessively noisy and if you eat early at night it's too busy. Not really what we like but we knew if would be busy.
The pool bar was very good however over Christmas week it was seriously understaffed. I really don't want to wait in a queue for 10 to get an apple juice. Staffing levels should have been better.
Pools too cool for us so went to the beach daily. This is a great beach and safe for children.
When we were there the hotel had several guests with Novovirus, including one of our party. The management dealt with it quite well and loads of areas were jet washed every night. Not ideal but it could have been worse.
The kids clubs seemed very busy and well run.
We stayed in a bungalow which was a bit tired and always felt damp in the morning. The curtains were falling off the rails and should have been fixed. Bathrooms have no fans. Would not stay in them again too expensive for what you get. Another member of our family was in a family suite and it seemed warmer and more modern.
In summary would stay here again if in the area, however not sure that this complex is suitable if you don't have children.

The suite was well decorated and spacious; living area with sofa, table, TV and balcony, bedroom with plenty of storage for clothes (hanging and drawer space) and a 2nd TV, and clean bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower over bath and toiletries etc. Also in the living area was what looked like a double, floor to ceiling cupboard. On the left it was, but the right hand one was actually a small kitchen area with microwave, kettle and sink behind the doors. The grounds of the hotel, restaurant, pool side and pool bar were all well decorated and clean. Food was excellent, plenty of variety for both hot and cold food. Breakfast had freshly cooked fried eggs and pancakes every day and omelettes or toasted cheese sandwiches on alternative days. Themed food each day varied; kebabs, Japanese, Italian, Indian, Chinese. The hotel wasn't very busy as we were out of season so can't really say what it would be like in high season. It is geared up for children but again as it was off season, this didn't effect our stay. The best thing was the staff, cleaners, ground staff, entertainment staff, waiters/waitresses, bar staff and reception staff were all so friendly and genuinely so.
We have been to H10 once before in Tenerife and this was why we picked H10 for our stay in Lanzarote. The standard of food and accommodation has been very good at both and we will definitely choose H10 hotels wherever possible.

We stayed the start of February. The jewel in this hotels crown is it staff. Every single staff member smiling and friendly and that goes double for the animation staff who are responsible for entertaining the children.
Even fussy eaters will find something to eat at the buffet that is available.
The hotel is well laid out and one of the pools was reasonably warm for this time of year.
Parents with small children have the option of a toddler pool which is even warmer.
I had wondered whether going back a second time with expectations would lead to disappointment. This hotel exceeded expectations for the second time round. For a family holiday I honestly don’t think you will find a better hotel than this.
Will happily book our next holiday here again.
Great location in terms of being close to the beach(Less than three minute walk) , Supermarket and local restaurants not to mention a very safe area to walksupermarket and local restaurants not to mention a very safe area to walk around.
Bravo H10

Overall the hotel is great for families and children.
Upon arrival we were placed on the 3rd floor, the hotel had no lifts. 3 20+ kilo suitcases, a 2 year old and being pregnant this wasn’t the best start. My husband had to do all the lifting and it was allot of stairs which really wasn’t ideal. Even more frustrating when meeting a young couple who had been located on the ground floor. Most parents of young children know when the toddler is sleeping leave them be! This was not an option, we would have to leave the pushchair at the bottom of the stairs and carry her up. It would be nice if on arrival and departure day some assistance with cases was provided by the hotel, something most 4 star + hotels provide.
(We did ask for a move but was told the hotel was full)
The pools were great for the kids and didn’t seem too overcrowded, the main pool is very cold so be prepared.
The restaurant was a booking system which worked well in the evenings to prevent long ques.
The food was nice however for someone who can’t eat fish some evenings where hard to find a meal rather than a plate of randomness but overall the food was good.
The snack bar had a great variety and the drink choices were also good.
The room was outdated and in need of a refurb but had good facilities and was very spacious.
The cleaner clearly hated the stairs and the cleanliness wasn’t fantastic, we weren’t provided any further clean towels during our stay which ideally would have been nice for these to be changed mid week. We left a couple in the bath and they were never replaced so we ended up sharing towels. The floor was sweeped but not mopped, just small things that really let the hotel down.
Beach Towels are provided by the hotel upon arrival, if you require a fresh towel this comes at a cost.
Some of the children in our party attended the kids club, this was great. The parks were accessible also great.
Hotel location was perfect, we visited the sea life centre, the beach, some restaurants and the shopping centre is directly across the road.
Kids mini disco was brilliant, kids really enjoyed this. As this started quite late we were not able to watch the later entertainment so can’t comment on this.
The hotel ticks so many boxes, just falls short in some areas.

Dear Rebecca190726, Thank you very much for your time to deliver your comments regarding your recent stay at H10 Suites Lanzarote Gardens. First of all, we much appreciate your words saying we are a great family hotel. On the other hand, we are sorry for the disappointment you have experienced with the room. It is true that there are no lifts but we are always happy to help guests who need it. With regards to the fact that you were not provided with new towels, we have conveyed the message to the person in charge to improve this aspect for the future, but you could contact Reception and we would have replaced them. We are glad to read that you found the food nice but would like to make clear that every evening there are three different kinds of meat, appart of the salads, soups, etc... you could ask our staff and they would have helped you. Thank you for highlighting our minidisco and location. It will be a pleasure to welcome you one more time. Sincerely,

So before the holiday I was a bit nervous about leaving our 14month old son in the baby club, as he can be quite clingy at times and I thought I wouldn’t be able to leave him without him getting upset as he’s never been to a nursery setting before. But the staff there were really good. I stayed with him the 1st time for around a hour or so and then he stayed with the staff the rest of the time. With me checking in every now and then to make sure he was ok to be reassured he was fine and playing nicely. The club itself is a clean and safe place, the children are asked to wash their hands when they come into the club. with lots of good outdoor and indoor toys for the children. Snacks are offered mid morning (banana and rice cakes) which is lovely! A big thank you to Eugina who really took the time and effort to build a relationship with my son, she is a lovely person, always smiling and very good at her job! I couldn’t be more grateful for the effort she put in with my son to build his confidence to stay with out us.. and for us to have some time to relax. So thanks again Eugina and all the other staff I hope we see you again soon! :)

We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and our 2 daughters (15 & 10) for one week in February 2020.

From the moment we arrived we were so amazed how clean and well presented the entire complex was. The hotel staff were amazing! Smiling all the time and our youngest daughter really enjoyed the kids club and evening entertainment. There was a mini disco every night (except Wednesday) and was thoroughly enjoyable for the entire family.

The whole place was very relaxing and the pool areas were immaculate with life guards in attendance all day. The one medium pool was warm and the larger slide pool was a bit cool but we went in and enjoyed it.

The food was exceptional with loads of choice and changes every day. The standard of hygiene was 100% and you saw staff cleaning all the time, even the guy who brought the plates out was wearing gloves. The local beer was amazing and not watered down like some other all inclusive hotels.

Room was spacious and cleaned every day with a nice balcony overlooking the pool area.

Well done H10 this hotel is exceptional. We were caught up in the sand storm and our flight was delayed by one day, we were placed in the Sol Lanzarote for one night and this was not a patch on the H10!

We will be back next February without fail!

Thank you to you all
