Stayed here for 1 night for our anniversary, we had a hot tub suite room 408 (I think), what a stunning hotel and everything is on your door step. Highly recommended and hopefully be back next year for a visit, we were staying in laganas the rest of the time and it’s a nice walk back which we enjoyed

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at The Meandros and and were very impressed. If you are looking for a quiet, stylish boutique hotel with great staff, location and facilities then you wont do better than The Meandros in Kalamaki. Reasons as follows: Location - The hotel is just off the top off the main Kalamaki strip. It's very quiet which we liked, but only an 8-10 minute walk to crystal beach or to the middle of the strip. Its a 10 euro cab to Laganas and a 15 euros into either Zante Town or the airport. There are also a small number of bars and restaurants just outside the hotel too. For us it was perfect. Hotel - It's small and beautiful. It's built around one main pool which is large, clean, and a stylish pool bar. Fresh towels are available daily from the spa. Its a very chilled atmosphere. The pool is always quiet with chill out music being played at a modest volume. There are always beds and parasols available. You often feel like you hav ethe place to yourself and we were told it was at full occupancy. Food - We went half board. Both breakfast and dinner were very good with a fair selection daily. My only recommendation would be to add more traditional greek dishes to the evening menu. We also ate lunch one day at the pool and it was excellent. Prices for food and drink are reasonable. Room - We stayed in a premium suite - Room 406. The bedroom was stylish with a comfortable bed and pillows. Whilst the bathroom was very small, it was clean and modern. I'm not sure if all rooms are the same but ours had a seperate sofa/TV area which never got used. It would have been better if it was one large room but its not a complaint. We also had two balconies with beautiful views of the pool and sea. Staff - Excellent. Very helpful, friendly and attentive. Special mentions to both Vasillis and Dennis who are great guys adn a credit to the hotel. Typical friendly Greek hospitality throughout. Beach - This was important to us. Be advised that Kalamaki beach is lovely, but does not have beach bars like Laganas. This is due to it being the main turtle nesting beach on the island. We went to Laganas beach a few times but in hindsight would have stayed at Kalamaki. Its a much cleaner and quieter beach with clearer water. My advice would be to stay near Crystal Beach as you can use the beach bar at the Crystal Beach hotel. This has beautiful views across the bay. You are also close to a few shops if you wanted to take your own supplies. Plenty of beds, parasols etc for 8 euro a pair. To summarise, you wont find a better hotel in Kalamaki in Meandros if you are looking for a realxing tranquil stay in Kalamaki. Cant recommend highly enough.

The Meandros is probably one of the nicest hotels in zante . But I probably due a bit more updating. For the most part the hotel looks to have been recently upgraded however the bathrooms were a bit dated and aged, drains smelt a little and it was one of those shower systems where one second it’s just right, then boiling then freezing. In our room the air conditioning was not great, a very small unit in a very large room. The hotel called out a repair man twice but it never changed so luckily one of the receptionists loaned us a fan from home that got us through but wasn’t ideal Internet speeds are poor in zante so cannot blaim the hotel for that but connection to their WiFi can also be spotty meaning you may not have access in your room. We were in 405 and found we could just about connect on the balcony but the pool/reception/bar area are your best bets. There seemed to be a shortage of staff, it wasn’t unusual to wait 10-15 minutes for a drink at the bar even if the bar was quiet. We sometimes found ourselves helping ourselves to cold drinks from the fridge and leaving money on the side as there were no staff to be found. Breakfasts are great, we didn’t eat at the buffet for dinner too much as the first try wasn’t to our tastes but regretted that as we had the buffed dinner on our last night and it was lovely.

Very nice hotel where we've spent our Zakynthos holiday for 11 days. Located in the quiet Kalamaki, the hotel impressed us from first with Greek antic design. The warm greetings of Elena at reception, who was dressed in a blue toga, along with the scenery of the hotel made us feeling like in mythology. The room had the same Greek mythology design, impressed by quality and cleanliness, with individual AC and full loaded bar fridge. The only negative point was the bathroom, which was outdated (impeccable as cleaning, quality bathroom products and daily towel changing) and create big discrepancy with the hotel and all amenities. The Spa is outstanding, and the outside pool was kept super clean at all the time of the day. Plenty sunbeds, very good pool bar service delivered by Denis and the quietness of the place allowed us to spend few very relaxing afternoons. Everything was just great, but the best experience was the restaurant one, where the quality, cleanliness, service and not at the last, the food were at superlative, delivered the wonderful staff extremely well and professional managed by Elefteria and her staff, who created a unique environment, made us feel special. Excellent Covid-19 plan in place which create us a health related security feeling. To conclude, it may be not a full 5* hotel, but the delivery of staff service balance in full all the small negative things, and we're 100% recommending Meandros Boutique for a nice, quiet, private holiday.
