Got as far as Castlemaine during a driving trip in Ireland so we just turned up at the door asking for a room. We were given one looking out on the front of the house & could see mountain scenery in the distance. The room was en-suite & everything was very clean. The only downside was that the shower was...

Located along a quiet lane there is plenty of parking at the front door. Our generously sized room was on the 1st floor overlooking the car park. The large double bed was very comfortable and we found the room to be nice & quiet. Recently renovated, the bathroom was also a good size but badly let down by a shower...

Very nice farmhouse B&B in a little village. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was very good with an enormous full Irish breakfast plus cereal, pastries and fresh fruit, more than enough to keep you going throughout the day. One drawback - we have been travelling around Ireland and all the other B&B's we have...

This B&B is nice, with a country farm feel. It is on a working dairy, with generations of family in and out. There is a nice sitting room to visit before turning in for the evening. The breakfast is hot and served to order, or they also offer a continental breakfast. Mrs. Murphy is a great hostess.

My wife and I stayed two nights here while in the midst of an independent driving tour of Ireland. It's away from any city (which only helps its appeal for us). Our room was comfortable and offered exactly what we needed. The old farmhouse has been updated and is well cared for. Our hosts were always friendly and helpful. We...

We were an extended family from the Boston area ranging in ages from 17-60 spending a week touring Ireland in November 2016. We chose to stay overnight at Murphy's Farmhouse near Castlemaine as it is conveniently located between the RIng of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula - we were not disappointed! The farmhouse is well kept, clean, and comfortable. The...

We stayed three nights at this delightful B & B in Boolteens, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry, Ireland. From the immaculate room with a wonderful view right out our window of the lush green farmlands and the Slieve Mish Mountains, to the outstanding breakfast with perfectly cooked farm-fresh eggs, fresh fruits and home-made scones, REAL well-brewed coffee (not always easy to get...

We needed somewhere to accommodate twelve people, we were very happy with the rooms, they were clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and looked after us very well. Everybody enjoyed our stay.

Like being and grandma's house. The proprietors keep a clean and comfortable home for their guests. There is complementary breakfast and a neat who/what/where/how guide book in the room. Very cozy with heating pads on each bed. The towels, beds, and room china are refreshed each day. A bit off the beaten path to Kilarney, Tralee, and Dingle but not...

While this wasn't our favorite B&B in Ireland it was nice. The woman who greeted us on arrival was a little gruff, not very welcoming at all. But, in the morning the two younger women were very friendly. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.
