I have absolutely no complaints. This hotel was very clean, on a perfect location (it's just blocks from the plaza) in a quiet area, the staff was super friendly and were available when needed, even to book a taxi in the morning for me to leave.
The place is old but everything works, vey rustic for those who love an antique style.
Breakfast was included and even though the cook/waiter was a bit serious he made everything so delicious, we could pick between fruit, omellets, hot cakes etc.
Reasonable prices and they were happy to help with the día de muertos festival. TOTALLY WORTH It!!
Thank lorrrein

An old historic house was rebuilt and wisely converted into a beautiful hostel. The layout is not too smart because rooms are aligned but the architect chose to diminish the feeling with different levels and plenty of gardening. The outcome is very pleasing to view. Our bedroom was very charming and so was the bathroom. The dining room is well illuminated and ventilated. Breakfast is very good. The reception desk staff lacks training of how to address guests. They were kind enough to help with an uber service. But watch out if you leave something in your room. When I complained about a medicine case left there, instead of being supportive and understanding, they insisted to deny any kind of responsibility and even when I went back and didn't consider complaining anymore because in the end I have no prove that the room keeper took anything, they insisted in the most rude manners imaginable. They never cared for my medicine even when I told them I cannot suspend it. My advice is that those guys get a serious hotel guest training. They are well intended people that lack professionalism. Sad.

This is a great hotel from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the ktichen staff. The food is great ( we had tried most of the dishes since we had stay here multiple times). Alfredo ( front desk) always has a welcoming smile for everyone. Osvaldo (kitchen) is always attentive and detail oriented he will remember your favs. The maids are always coordial and respectful. Rosa Morada makes you feel home while vacationing. The rooms are pretty, quite and comfortable. The restroom is spacious (the colibri room). A wonderful stay close to the main plaza walking distance to everything in lovely Tlaquepaque. For reference we had stay here in three rooms (two rooms with two people on each in the colibri room and the next room. Four people- two adults and two kids- int he upstairs room. All.of them excellent spacious room)

Great location if you want to explore Tlaquepaque, as it is close to all galleries and restaurants. Extremely friendly and helpful bi-lingual staff, comfortable room and pretty courtyard tropical garden. Very good value.

Wanting to avoid Guadalajara proper I chose the Rosa Morada for its central location and walkability to the park, artisan shops and restaurants.

The flamingo pink hotel was quiet, probably by virtue of its proximity to the City Police Dept.

The maid, who looked like an extra in a Hitchcock film, eyed us with contempt while the overwhelmed desk clerk scurried around in a frenzy of activity.

Given a gargantuan room key, we were lead down a courtyard of tropical splendor—lush native plants, brilliant flowers, swaying trees, birds winging their way to an azure sky. Outside paradise–inside “Night of the Iguana.”

The dark room had Spanish Inquisition style décor although they were obviously aiming for a jungle theme. The bathroom was tiny, grungy and inconvenient.

We couldn't decide if the pillows on our lumpy bed were filled with boiled potatoes or braided gym socks.

Breakfast was a fiasco with an inept server and bland food.

The family room upstairs has multiple beds, & more like a suite. Not sure about downstairs rooms; we had3 rooms, each with a king bed. Great breakfast choices & staff!
