I arrived on the island on a rainy Thursday morning to a delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts. The sun came out by late morning and really showed off the beauty of the island. The island is quiet and peaceful in the morning with the sound of nature all around your room. Although breakfast is served in a common area, there... More

My stay in this small private island resort was easily the best 3 days of vacation I have had in the past few years. Our hosts, Helena and Robert, two expats from the Florida Keys, immediately made us feel at home and on vacation. Between the wonderful people, the outstanding location, and the overall value, my stay at the Garden... More

WOW!! AMAZING!! Not enough adjectives in the English or Panamanian dialect to describe this one of a kind resort. It is by far the most beautiful place we have ever stayed but Bob, Helena and the girls make you feel like you are in a "little slice of heaven." Everything from the food, company, fabulous massage and of course Malo... More

We want to put our review into context as one of us is well traveled (Maria) while the other (Paul) just experienced his first trip out of country. I will start my review of my experience at the Garden of Eden Resort letting other readers know I have traveled a lot through out Europe, Central and South America, some of... More

Within minutes of arriving at Garden of Eden, we were warmly welcomed by Johanna and Malo (the dog named "Bad" who really isn't) and made to feel comfortably at home. Within hours, we felt more like friends than guests; and within a week we were contemplating property in the neighborhood. Bob & Helena have carved out a true piece of... More

This is a beautiful little island owned by the very cool hosts Bob and Helena and we felt right at home from the get go. Magaly and Johanna were awesome staff and with the owners they made us comfortable at all times. We highly recommend this little island if you're looking for a great vacation spot off the map with... We arrived in Bocas Town two-or-so weeks after storms had decimated the islands of Bocas. Our ‘reserved’ hotel’s boat dock was missing so much planking; it was impossible to walk to shore. After several other attempts with other docks, we finally decided, along with our JAMPAN Captain, that we would beach the boat to reach the hotel…. Needless to say,... More

Garden of Eden has wonderful facilities and a great location. Bob & Helena and their staff gave excellent service and care. Everything about our stay was great. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer than the 5 nights we did. We can hardly wait to go back. Everything about the place and the hosts was outstanding.

From the minute we stepped from the water taxi onto the dock, we felt the good vibe of Bob and Helena's hospitality--Key West with a Panamanian twist. Our every need was met, every request accommodated. The resort itself is amazing, built and maintained by Bob with some local help....comfortable accommodations (we chose the suite, loved the privacy), beautiful gardens, lovely... More

We planned on spending three weeks in Bocas del Toro, but after two weeks we'd had enough of both the town and our accommodation there, so made our escape to the Garden of Eden. It was magical. We spent an entire week snorkelling along the edge of the mangroves (amazing!), watching dolphins as we kayaked, and reading our books. Except... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a small private island Bed and Breakfast located in a tropical setting of Bocas Del Toro, Panama. The resort offers a swimming pool, kayaks, snorkeling, game room with pool table, restaurant and bar. Don't go to the Caribbean to just rent a room, come here where you can rent an island. We can accommodate up to 10 adults comfortably. Sorry no guests under 18 yrs of age. Close enough to Bocas to shop yet far enough to be as private as you want to be. ... more   less
