Room was bright and airy, very modern and beautiful view of pool. Mid October was very quiet season but most enjoyable with very nice staff. Beautiful sandy beach was only a very short walk away ..... absolutely loved it!
The grounds of this property are gorgeous and well maintained-very tropical. I was at this hotel for a Sept. wedding, so I wouldn't be able to give a review on the rooms but I can share my experience for anyone interested in holding an event here. The service, the food, and the ambiance was incredible! Cocktail hour was buffet style outside in a reserved area on the front grounds. All white patio tables and chairs set up under huge trees and 2 long buffet tables on either end of the space full of hot and cold appetizers, cheese, deli, a grill station for kebabs, sushi, wine, champagne, juice...-- amazing!! Guests then enjoyed dinner in the banquet hall "Vale"- again amazing service and food. The staff went out of their way to accommodate anyone with allergies or different options if you didn't like what was being served. Later in the evening, all guests then left the dinner area and enjoyed the cutting of the wedding cake and a dessert buffet outside on the grounds of the property opposite where cocktail hour was spent. The ambiance was magical! This area had a lit up pond, equipped with spraying fountains and a walking bridge over it; where the wedding cake was displayed and cut by the bride and groom; a very magical setting. Pastries were set up on numerous tiered tables. Table space was limited here so most stood. A wonderful way to end off a beautiful day-- under the stars with cake, champagne, music and good company! As a guest from out of the country, I was extremely impressed with how Park Hotel Tyrrenian hosted this wedding!…

I stayed here with my husband and a group of 28 other people as part of a tour of Calabria and Sicily. The hotel room reminded us of a college dorm room, sterile and bland. Everything in the hotel is tiled and the sound echoes. We could hear every door open and each person walking by the room at night. The hotel has a nice little pool but if you'd like to swim, you need to buy a swim cap for 3euro and if you would like a towel for the pool, you can buy one for 10 euro. We chose to visit the beach instead. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. It is separated from the hotel by a gas station and train tracks so you cannot see the beach from the hotel. At the hotel beach, there are chairs and umbrellas provided as well as showers and a bathroom. The beach was beautiful although the water was too rough to swim in while we were there.…
This was a simple overnight for our tour group on the drive north. The hotel was all we could want. It is very smart and new. The rooms are spacious and well appointed but no tea making facilities as seems to be the case everywhere in Italy. The bathroom was also spacious, so why fit such a miniscule shower cubicle? Another Italian speciality. Toothbrushes and razors were there if needed. Our dinner was truly excellent with the friendly and attentive service that makes such occasions special. They even made a pot of tea just for my wife's need and refilled it for her later. What a difference to our experience in Catania. The hotel is a stiff walk from the town but they can arrange a shuttle for a few Euros.
