My wife and I were guests here a few years ago and wanted to return to this small hotel. We like it because Limeray is very close to the sites we wanted to visit. Our second story room overlooked the garden area. The room was nicely furnished and had a nice firm bed. We enjoy the food here also.

If your European fantasies include staying in chateaus, farmhouses, small inns, the Auberge De Launay fills the farmhouse bill. Fifteen rooms surround a sweet garden which would have been fun to enjoy but unfortunately we were there on rainy days. Nonetheless, the hotel serves a bountiful breakfast in a fireplace-warmed dining room and elegant dinners. Owners have fine-dining experience and...

My wife and I had a 5 night stay here as we explored the area. Limeray is not much of a village, but this is a very nice, clean and hospitable Auberge. Very convenient to Amboise and many of the Loire Valley chateau. The owners are personally involved with a good continental breakfast (extra cost) and a wonderful dinner menu....

Stopped here for 2 nights, on the way to Gibraltar from the UK, chose this place as it was close to some interesting castles and to relax in countryside, also at a very good price. Place is very charming, with lovely gardens, quiet ( even though we had a room facing the road it was quiet at night) and safe....

We were booked in for one night and arrived after a good look around the chateau at Amboise. This hotel has a Logis rating of 3 pots which was a big plus for us. The room was little dark but comfortable enough and with all the necessary facilities. The restaurant was on another level altogether and we enjoyed some wonderful...

Three adults (one double and a single) spent 4 nights half board at the Auberge de Launay in late September. The double room was fine at the back and the single at the front also good. Everything spotless and well maintained and room service was very good. The Auberge does not pretend to be a international hotel, but was great...

It's rated 2 star so don't expect fancy amenities but for what it is - a small place just a few miles upriver from Amboise - it's really very nice, well kept, and the rooms are very comfortable. The wi-fi is a bit annoying as it's sponsored so you have to log in every 2 hours so can watch the...

A really nice find well located, near many of the castles. The rooms are cute, but don't have a fan or AC, which was fine except for last night. Doesn't get that hot there. The biggest annoyance was the wi-fi would not reach our room, so we had to go to the garden to connect, and even then it was...

A beautiful place to stay, with lovely well-kept rooms. This was a return for us, having stayed here two years ago. On the down-side there is no AC available in any of the rooms, and whilst we were there it was extremely hot, and very little movement of air, even though we had a upstairs room. A fan would have...

We booked this hotel in order to "break" our long journey south. Was a bit startled to see how close the hotel was to the main road but in the end you couldn't hear the cars as much as we had feared. It's true that there is no A/C in the room and although we were visiting at the time...
