Our large family usually go away together at the end of the year and this year we chose Leopards haven in Mabalingwe. A combo of two houses next to each other. What a horrible choice. The facilities in the houses are just so below par that it was very uncomfortable for us. The bathrooms were dilapidated and the shower awful....

We had a very relaxing and wonderful time at Mabalingwe. We stayed in the Kubu Camp no 86, although the unit was not totally finished I can recommend this camp as it is located were you get morning sun until round about 10h30, then it is mostly in the shade resulting in a comfortable stay notwithstanding the outside temp of...

We visited Mabalingwe game reserve and we stayed at Kanya lodge. It was more than we expected at the rate we paid. It was beautiful, clean and the owner was very helpful. It's next to the entertainment center. Quiet and very comfortable.

This reserve is ideal for self drive. We went as a whole family of 9 people with three children all of whom had a wonderful time. It's a bit dry so we were able to see much including a whole family of giraffe. There are houses on the property that can be renting which are ideal. The kids loved swimming...

We expected rustic when we booked the Kalahari Tent Camp. What we didn’t expect were dirty floors, one of them wet from a leaking tent; unmade beds, some of them appeared to have been slept in; all wood freshly layered with creosote that blackened your hands and was sticky underfoot; the non-existent “own boma” that was promised in an email,...

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life then this is it. There is entertainment for the children with a holiday programme daily. Swimming pools are clean and the amenities are clean too. There is a putt-putt course but at an additional charge.

Stayed in a 3 bed lodge with family, well equipped and very close to the animals, had Nyala, Kudu, Warthogs and Banded Mongoose regularly visit our balcony. Loved the variety of animals and also went on a few of the organised safaris as well as self driven ones. Peter the ranger was very informative and a wicked sense of humour....

Although not in direct competition with some of the top game reserves in Sabi Sands, Mabalingwe has charm of it's own and more game than you have any right to expect. Just over 20km from Bela Bela the 12,500ha estate is ideally positioned just a couple of hours easy drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. Accommodation is in lodges spread out...

Enjoyed a great two night stay in one of their 6 person chalets. Accommodation was superb. Very noisy neighbours though( family of warthogs!!). Our game drive was very disappointing though. Mainly just warthogs and impala. Very relaxing stay though.

Awesome family getaway in Bela Bela. Took my parents for a vacay there . The chalets and very cosy and spacious rooms. We stayed in Tlou Lodge and was lovely waking up everyone morning to see warthogs , kudu and quail roaming freely and monkeys swinging from the trees. The menu was simply awesome from bottomless breakfast to the 2meats,...
