Rooms were clean, welcome was awesome, air-conditioning worked well, beds incredibly comfortable, food was great, staff were knowledgeable and personal service was special. Outside showers were incredible! Unfortunately we were only there for a night so we couldn't book for a spa treatment. Game drive was enjoyable, although Mabalingwe is not a big 5 reserve. I would definitely stay at...

The staff are lovely and the food is excellent. The chef goes round and introduces himself which was a nice touch. The area is very dry at the moment and there aren't that many animals to see. There is a wide variety of birds. The lodge is well kept and clean.

Really good time had. Ate regularly in the restaurant and food was excellent. Went on a number of game drives in the three days we were there and the sunset drinks and snacks in the bush was amazin. Some great locations with beautiful views across the bush. Being a small reserve the game was failrly sparse though I'm sure this...

The Lodge is secretively located in the Mabalingwe reserve away from any noise from surrounding lodges inviting plenty of wildlife. The lodge has a waterhole near the swimming pool, whereby guests that were at the lodge a day before us, had the opportunity to see a herd of elephant quenching their thirst. The restaurant, bar and lounge area made for...

We were welcomed by Henk, the Lodge Manager and his dachsie Lexi and immediately shown into the open lapa where a welcoming cocktail was waiting for us. After selecting our dinner from a simple but varied menu we were shown to our chalet where our luggage had been delivered . The room was delightful.... very African feel and well appointed....

Very passionate staff who seem to understand individual needs and ensure good balance between relaxation and stimulation. Perfect for romantic getaways, family bonding and anyone with a yearning for nature and self reflection. Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time, loved the resort, and the staff was wonderful. The game reserve the lodge is on itself felt a little fake to us after Etosha in Namibia, Chobe in Botswana, and the Okavango delta, i.e. lions and hyenas in separate enclosures, private residences in the game reserve, etc., something we have not encountered before on our...

Fantastic rooms & setting - the staff are amazing, especially Marcelo, the chef, Simon the......well.......he did everything so am not sure what his exact title is, and Sumien, the manageress. There was lots of game to see & the only complaint we had was that the lions were not roaming freely & were fenced off in their own enclosure -...

Our stay was very good. The meals and activities were excellent. The hospitality of the staff was also excellent. The place is quiet and is perfect for weekend away The only thing that would make me not go back is the fact that I could hear my neighbour's conversation while in my room. With no TV in the room there...
