I don't know how anyone can complain about these apartments when you consider the price you pay for the holiday in saying that the only thing I could gripe about is the size of the shower tray end of moan , on arrival you'll probably be greeted by young Kat the Thompson on site rep who'll answer any questions or will fix any problems as soon as you ask her she's a bundle of energy and always ready for a night out , the apartments owner Tony is there around 16 hours a day and is also helped with other members of his family and a great group of staff Tony also likes for you to go out your way to speak to him and he's very approachable also a mention for Elena in the bar for a cracking coffee,so please consider when reviewing Angela studios how little this holiday actually cost you

Hello Everybody, I’d like to give you all my experience of the Angela Hotel in August. As soon as me and my 4 BFFLS arrived we were treated like royalty, Tony greeted us at the door and helped us with our suitcases (yes he did struggle as he is in a wheelchair and we are typical girls with our huge pink cases) once our luggage had been taken to our rooms we soon found out we had been upgraded to the ‘Princess Suite’, it really was luxurious, the hotel itself looked like a Disney palace as its painted Pink head to toe. Once the maids helped us unpack Dennis and Demitri arrived to invite us to the welcoming dinner. Tony had cooked a beautiful Toad in the Hole for all of the guests to enjoy together. We sat around the table and shared jokes, and cheered our glasses to being in Laganas, and most importantly Angela together.

Dinner was soon over and it was time to get ready for the Scuba Disco, at first we were unsure what to expect but it has to be one of the best events in the whole of Zante. Tony had decorated the bar area with seaweed and bubble machines, it really did feel like I was swimming in the ocean. All the ladies and gentlemen staying within the hotel were asked to dress up as scuba divas, me and my friends had matching snorkels and fippers, we looked really cool, but the best dressed had to go to Tony, he was dressed a merman sitting on a rock (his wheelchair disguised as a rock), the creativity was amazing.

After the first night we were super pumped about experiencing what is known as the “strip” although the only stripping happening was Samuel Sagar. The lights, the crowd, and the action it was like my Hollywood dreams! We adventured out to Waikiki where we was welcomed by a handsome chap (word obviously went around quickly about being princesses because he gave us some incredible deals). Once in, strange girls in their undiess!!! Gave us these magical balloons that if you sucked on them you have a CRAZZZYY dream. My BFF really did make us lol when she got on the podium. The atmosphere was amazeballs right up to 12 o clock on the dot when Cinderella (me) had to retire. This was our routine for the next 144 hours and we LOVED it!

Sam Sagar, our knight in shining armour! Us princesses wouldn’t live without the bundle of joy. He made sure we was all A ok and if we wasn’t he would always be there. E.G. my friend happened to graze her knee and burst into tears (it was traumatic) and there he was standing over her like an angel in the sky with a Kleenex tissue. Sam had the kindest heart and the cheekiest smile! Such a shame he had a girlfriend otherwise Lord knows what would have happened... except a real life princess wedding!

Overall the holiday was absolutely perfect, the hotel was awesome and we didn't get fined for anything! I can't wait for the BIG REUNION, where we will be princesses of Angela once again. See you all in November ;)

We travelled as a group of 6 girls and stayed in two triple rooms, the rooms were clean and spacious with a decent sized bathroom. There was a large mirror in the bedroom which is perfect for getting ready and the bathroom also had a mirror with great lighting. The amenities were basic we only had a small fridge - there was no hair dryer or kettle or any cooking facilities which would have been ideal but we booked it room only so that was to be expected. The hotel was at the top of the strip so very handy for nights out but also not too close that it was noisy. The beach was under a 10 minute walk. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything they'd always be on hand to help. The reception is open 24 hours a day so there is always someone to help and George the receptionist we spoke to at night was very friendly and good to chat to. The hotel owner even gave us a lift back to the hotel after one of our nights out when he drove past us, so the staff are very friendly. We had an overall good experience in the hotel the only downside of it was they said we weren't allowed to bring in outside food or drink but if it was in a bag they were fine with it.

The place is filthy, we had brown smeary stains all over the toilet, bit of rubbish from previous user just left on the floor, stained walls and stained bedding. We discussed this with Tui rep and the staff did change the sheets, however ignored all of the other problems. Did not even get fresh towels and the room doesn’t come with even some hand soap for general cleanliness.
The beds are uncomfortable, literally just get given a thin white sheet and single pillow to sleep on so you will be waking up with a sore neck, when you can even get to sleep that is. You are situated on the main strip which we were aware of so noise from outdoors is quite a lot, however the noise from inside is worse. You can hear everything echo throughout the Hotel. Constant door slamming, shouting, crying, being sick and can even hear people’s normal conversations as the walls are like paper - literally all through the night. You will be lucky to get a couple of hours of sleep in this place. I would not stay here unless all you want to do is party every night. We will not be staying here for our full stay and will be moving to another hotel.

Lads holiday, 7 of us.
Brilliant location, literally on the strip. 5 mins walk to all the clubs.
Great gyros (kebab but nicer) place at the front, very cheap and delicious food (great moneysaver).
Nice rooms with a large green area at the back.
Honestly dont see how people could leave a bad review, maybe we just got lucky with our trip, but it was excellent especially for the price compared to others.
Very flexible, only rule being you can't bring people that arent from the hotel in (unless your sneaky) which is fair enough. Great place.
Also had a happy hour before you go out which is great for meeting others at the hotel.

Didn't expect much when we booked this as a last minute get away but highly rate if you want to be close to the strip and beach. Staff really friendly, clean rooms and a pool. What more can you want?!

If you're looking for a getaway with friends and want to be close to everything, highly recommend.

Dennis was a legend, thanks for having us!

Hi guys,

Stayed at Angela studios laganas with 3 mates on a 18-30's holiday. We booked self catering so we could get our own drinks and have a beer b4 we go out etc...

The horrible greedy owner of the hotel, TONY, dont allow anything bought from outside brought into his hotel including a bottle of water. Everything must be bought from him!!! hes well known by all on the island, and anyone will tell you to steer clear from him and his discusting hotel. Im still ill from his dirty slimey pool....

He waits up all nite waiting for his pray, be wants 30 euros for any extra visitors to the hotel, 15 euros for cleaning your sheets if you dirty them in any way inc. girls getting makeup on them in the nite, 30 euros for the fridge door handle that was never there, 20 euros for the leeking toilet that needed fixing (that took hime 5 mins to fix) its like he sets you traps b4 u even arrive!! he takes your passports and 20 euros deposit off everyone, ul be lucky if you get it back i promise you....

The only way to get in his good books is if you spend every last penny at his bar and food place, or shag his creepy weird son that will try and get u in his hummer!!

Do not stay in this jail, book sumwhere else he ruined every1s holiday....

I stayed here for 2 weeks at the start of July. The guy that owns the hotel "tony" is a thief, his gaol is to take your money billing you for bed sheets, pillows, tables, chair ect. The rooms are designed to fall to pieces. You have to pay €40 to take a girl back, another con, but we thought we could maybe sneak one or two in with out them knowing but it's impossible 24-7 they are watching. The clearer takes money not just from us but from other people staying there at the time, when I confronted tony he told me I'm stupid and don't know what I'm talking about. But the main problem other than them stealing my money is you can't eat or drink in the rooms. No water no alcohol which is hard to believe because down as self catering on the booking but far from it. His son creeps round all the girls and moves there rooms closer to his, I know it sounds crazy but over the two weeks I was there he moved 3 groups of girls. So if I was you I wouldn't stay there.

First of all...

We came for a holiday on the 14/8/2014 for one week.
From reading other reviews and the price we paid we knew we was in for a bit of a dive.

When arriving to the hotel we met Tony (the guy that owned the place). We was advised to speak to him as much as we can as he was an arrogant man. We made all the effort we could to be as nice as we could and he still come across as a dodgy character.

The rooms were damaged when we arrived and we got fined for it.
€120 for a hole in the door
€60 for a broken balcony door lock.
€20 euros for two used towels. That was only used to dry after having a shower.

We was told by all of Tony's staff that he was a money grabber and he will rinse every penny out of us that he could and they was not lying!!

It's also a self catering hotel but you wasn't allowed to take in any food or drinks into the hotel (so how do you use your self catering facilities) or by the pool area.

Overall the point of this review is to let everyone know that Tony is a slimy old man that will try to come across as nice first of all but will then do you over completely.

Good points about the hotel-
It was on the top of the strip so the location was perfect.
The security guy was brilliant he would try to help you out as much as possible.
Pool is good and the drink prices are good.

If you do book with this hotel -

MAKE SURE YOU INSPECT YOUR ROOM. From looking at holes in the walls/door to bed sheets/towels. Also the paint on the walls.

Leave your keys In your room when you go out because you will get fined of you loose them, Dimitry the security guy has a master key and will happily open the door for you.

TONY - just don't bother speaking or making any contact with him. Nothing but a money grabbing, slimy old man that has nothing better to do than make your holiday hell.
If I could swear on this review it would be alot worse.

To be on the safe side - just don't bother booking here.

Just got back from a few nights stay at Angela apartmentd

This place has very mixed reviews, But to be honest I can only really see the sides of the bad reviews. The hotel is basic to to say the least. Pictures online are that of the new build block, not of rooms in the rundown block where we stayed (clever marketing!) The bathroom in our room was something else. Shower was disgusting,

I'm all for a hotel is "only a base to sleep" BUT you want the base to be half decent right? We were in the room right next to reception 125.

The hotel owner is always around and makes you feel he is watching you. There are STUPID 'rules' all of which make you feel like you're 15 and back at school(!) No alcohol allowed in your rooms, C'MON IM 32 YEARS OLD!!!!!! Big sign as you walk into hotel saying a €50 fine if you have alcohol in your room(!) AND no food or drink bought from outside can be taken by the pool, except take away food from the take out attached to front of hotel...also owned by hotel owner! All drinks have to be be bought from hotel bar.

Also you are fined (be warned girls) if you stain room towels with make up(!) The ONLY good thing about the place while we were there was the fact it was VERY WARM and the pool was nice. The pool area on the other hand, broken split sunloungers, random bicycles and lawnmower!

If you are guys and girls wanting CHEAP digs right in the middle of the strip, and are not fussed about all of the above, then this'll be paradise for you! BUT for me, 32years old, I'm not gonna be told I cant take booze into our room and theres fines for virtually everything.

Theres free...yes FREE wifi which im suprised he doesnt charge you for!
If you do book here...GOOD LUCK!
