Absolutely loved our lunch at Fischers yesterday. The service was very friendly, not too overbearing. The food was excellent, and the 2016 menu is very good value. I've been dreaming of the smoked haddock and whisky chowder since!

Our first visit to Fischers and looking forward to the Michelin starred meal. We had the tasting menu - which was very good. What did concern us slightly was the pace set in the early stages. Our meal was booked for 8.00 pm and we were asked to be downstairs for 7.30 pm for an aperitif and inspection of the... More

Had a great 3 day break at this delightful hotel. Excellent service and really good food. Beautiful setting. Stayed in the garden rooms which are equipped with every luxury. Restaurant has a very good wine list.

We stayed here for one night for a special occasion with two other couples. The rooms are all lovely but the beds in the cosy doubles are somewhat small. Unfortunately there were not three larger rooms available so one couple had the smaller room. The bathrooms are modern and refurbished. The bath was almost too big ! The staff are... More

Today, we had the privilege to pay a Sunday lunchtime visit to Fischer's Baslow Hall. What a treat! It is such a beautiful old building, very welcoming and so tastefully decorated. We were very warmly welcomed at the door, which was a lovely touch, and then led to a lovely seating area beside a cosy open fire. The service was... More

Stayed here for one night in the Vernon room. Very comfortable room with all required facilities and extremely well maintained and cleaned. Had a meal in the Michelin starred restaurant in the evening. Opted for the taster menu. Superb service and food. In all honesty we could not fault any part of the experience.

There are not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful this restaurant is. I booked a surprise lunch for my wife's birthday and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful surroundings, fantastic staff and the food???? Michelin at its best at the price that would put any restaurant to shame. Lovely touch of Happy Birthday chocolates in the lounge too.

Stayed overnight with evening meal. The hotel is very very charming and comfortable. The staff are kind and always attentive. We enjoyed our evening meal. As this was a special occasion we went for the 'Taster' menu. Which was fantastic. It isn't a cheap hotel. But it is worth every penny. Highly recommended.
