This place was amazing and the walk was also beautiful. This hotel that's turned into a hostel is awesome, the deals they have are great for if you are travelling with a tour and the staff were super friendly too! 😊

There are very few options in remote Mount Cook and overall we enjoyed the lodge. Laura was very courteous at check in. The views of Mount Cook and glaciers are fantastic from the communal lounge and deck. What a relaxing place to admire the peaks which are right there! The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and 2 gas grills....

Our room was upstairs with a great view of Mt. Cook, tea making facilities, ensuite bathroom and tv. Great communal kitchen and lounge with comfortable seating and outside balcony area taking advantage of panoramic views. Friendly welcoming staff and management. Cannot fault this establishment and highly recommend.

On a clear day (which is the exception not the rule), the views from the hotel can be spectacular. That is the reason to stay here...and to be minutes from some beautiful hiking trails. Another reason to stay is the restaurant (not the buffet, but the slightly more formal restaurant). our meals were excellent...and the service beyond reproach. The rooms...

Just stayed two nights & thought it was very good. We had a small room however, at the time of booking they advised us of the size & it was the last room available. Didn't bother us in the slightest. You do not go to Mt Cook to sit in your room. The lounge upstairs was spotless & really well...

I was a bit surprised when we went into our twin room. It was so small we barely had space for our suitcases. There was no fridge or microwave, just a kettle. There was a very nice communal kitchen and lounge area upstairs which seemed to work well enough. I think I was just a bit shocked as I had...

Really disappointed given the price. The room was stuffy and small. The shower was a dribble alternating between cold and piping hot. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and gave me a bad rash on my back. The pillows were flat. I know there is limited accommodation in Mt Cook but there is no need to overcharge for substandard facilities....

Terrific. Lovely warm welcome. Stunning views. Lovely clean and quiet room with views of Mt Cook.. The lounge and kitchen areas were spotless. The staff were very informative and extremely helpful. It is also well placed for the I-Site, The Sir Edmund Hillery Centre and places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. Tours, bikes etc. can be booked...

We had a very nice welcome from the staff who offered to help with our bags up the stairs. Staff also helped us book a scenic flight. The bedrooms are basic but the reason you stay here is to use the lounge to overlook Mount Cook. Lots of sofas and an outside area which meant you get to mix and...

Very friendly employees, willing to hold my luggage before check-in, shared kitchen and lounge was spacious and convenient. The view from the deck was lovely. Rooms are clean and comfortable although some noise was heard from the neighboring room. Location within the village was great, staff suggestions were valuable. I recommend the lodge to others.
