The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The staff are friendly and accommodating. This World heritage site is a must visit! Our room on the 8th floor had and awe inspiring view. One night, we walked outside and stargazer. The Milky Way and constellations were visible even thought the moon was nearly full.

The views are pretty first class. The best facet of the hotel is its having most rooms and public spaces have great views. The rooms and facilities are adequate but expensive. Restaurants are good but expensive. Pretty much only real choice at Mount Cook.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and views neither of which have anything to do with the state and price of the hotel. The air conditioning didn't work the sink didn't drain the room should have been for 4 but was made for 3 the tea/coffee hadn't been replenished and the price was the highest we...

This is a long review. Intended for primarily for the management but please read on if you feel so inclined, fellow travellers. The good points are the fabulous views and the generally friendly and very helpful staff who work at the coal face. The management cannot take any credit for the spectacular scenery and sadly, the Hermitage has the monopoly...

There is not much choice but stay here. The rooms are acceptable but nothing out of the ordinary. The food is good but not exceptional and the place gets quite crowded. However, the scenery is exceptional and worth the time it takes to drive there.

This was a last minute, in the area booking made directly with the hotel. We've always wanted to explore a little of Mt Cook and as it happened we had a couple of free days so grabbed them. At check in we were upgraded to a "superior room" which offered us awesome views of the Mountain and when the sun...

We stayed there for one night on our tour of New Zealand. It is a large hotel that is uniquely positioned and has wonderful view of the mountains. Our room had a balcony were you could sit and watch the sun set over the mountains. The bedroom was fine as was the bathroom. The restaurant was very impressive particularly for...

We drove 4 hours from our last destination to this spectacular spot near Mt Cook. Unfortunately it was raining and very foggy so we couldn't see much of anything. The purpose of our trip was to go on the stargazing tour. Upon check in we asked if we could have a room with a balcony. We were immediately told NO!...

This property looks directly at Mt. Cook. IT IS THE ONLY ONE ! So plan ahead. They have a nice guest room tower with large windows that gives you a breathtaking view of the changing weather on the mountains. This is a tourist hotel so lots of buses and guests . But service is good and they will do room...

You could just stop anywhere and any pictures you click will be so picturesque and the scenic beast of the rivers and lakes and mountains just enthrals your mind. Mount Cook/Aorki village is...
