This is a low end accommodation in a beautiful setting. The chalets look OK from the outside, but there are no windows facing the views, only facing the roadway and parking. The beds were not comfortable and the room has a peculiar smell. There were limited options for accommodations in the area, so it did provide a roof over our...

The Mt. Cook Lodge is a 1-2 star motel in a five star location! Beautiful views surround the lodge, which provides all the basics required after a day spent exploring the area - fresh simple towels, functional hard beds, wifi ($5.00 per day), beer, and simple food menu in a cafeteria type atmosphere. Free parking is also offered with plenty...

the room is average, i did not know it was a backpacker until i checked in. the room is average. we can clearly hear every single step and talking from upstair. So it was a very average stay, the location is good and the service is good as well.

Dear rebeccaxie0820. Thank you for taking time to give feedback from your recent stay at the Mt Cook Lodge and Motels. It is disappointing that you felt your stay was only average, definitely not what we aim to achieve. We do have facilities in the shared dorm room that does often get compliments from the guests, en suite bathrooms (with...

My husband and I arrived at the lodge to check ourselves in at 4.30pm and were advised that we were unable to check in due to their system being down. We weren't given any alternative from the staff, for example: "we do apologize for not being able to check you in however you can go up to the bar for...

Our Double - Inner Urban Double in the lodge was more than what we expected - clean, kitchen area, main room with bed, sitting area, a separate room with twin beds & plenty of room, a patio with a gorgeous view. Restaurant was also nice. Order at the bar, and sit at any of the tables where you'll have a...

THis is a great hotel. It offers amazing views and a very comfortable atmosphere. It's a basic hotel and accommodations are very basic but the common room is great (and I was not so sure about it). The space is very large and multiple people can cook at one time. There are many couches at tables to soak in the...

We were very pleasantly surprised at our new and modern the Motel rooms were. We stayed in both a Motel Deluxe and the Motel Deluxe family rooms. The rooms are spacious and modern. Everything you need for a comfortable stay in the park. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were stocked and included a heater and towel warmer. The staff were warm...

We booked an apartment from this hotel for 3 nights trough the hotels own webpage, were it said that the apartment are newly renovated and it showed some nice photos too. The price was also quite high, so we thought that it would be a high-standard accommodation... but omg how wrong that was! We were really looking forward to our...

Common areas of the Lodge are, to be generous, blah, but the Hermitage is a short walk up the hill with wonderful public areas. Plus, you're to be outside, not in your room. Rooms have a modern vibe, great bed and excellent bathroom. Kitchen facilities could be better. Ours included nice dishware and utensils but no frying pan and a...

Had a 1 night stay here. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The 3 hotels belong to the same Hermitage Hotel Group. And hence all the activities begin at the Hermitage Hotel. Ample Car park available right in front. WiFi is charged 5Nzd for a day per device. (Don't know about the speed...
