This camp ground is no longer a Top 10 and is under new management. It is open for business and the new owners are keen and hard working. The facilities are basic but comfortable and reasonably priced. We got a room for $50 which had linen and a heater. We got a very warm and genuinely friendly welcome.

At there moment there is just a caretaker at the park as it is no longer affiliated with Top 10 Parks. Pitches are nicely spaced amongst the trees. Toilets very clean and good showers. It is close to main road but we heard minimal noise during the night.

This site occupies a nice location, being wooded with a stream running through it. Pots and pans are supplied in the kitchen but both this and the wash rooms seemed quite small for the size of the site.

We took a clean, self contained unit. It was basic, but had everything we needed for one night. The bedroom itself was very tiny, but hey - you don't expect five star luxury when you are paying extremely affordable prices!

The guy who checked us in was really friendly and helpful. There is a selection of DVDs for hire from reception, plus a TV room with plenty of books and magazines. We hooked our camper up to a powered site and nothing was a problem. Kitchen appliances looked new and the hot showers were free and not time restricted! Loos...

I tried to book the week before and told I didn't need a booking there was plenty of room. When we arrived the office was locked and I picked up the phone only for it to ring for quite some time and then get an answer phone. I left a message that I would just find a place and park...

The top 10 camping ground @ Fairlie. Very pretty with lots of trees. For a NZ camping ground, the facilities very modern and quite new which would explain the nightly rate. It was the most expensive we had encountered anywhere in NZ. We are travelling in a camper van and did not require a powered site.

We have been here for 2 Christmas's now and we will continue to go back. Ash is a top bloke, always willing to stop for a chat and help out of need be. Kitchen area is always lovely and clean, toilets get cleaned up a couple of times through the day. Next door to a hug playground for the kids,...

Just stayed for 1 night in a campervan on the way back to Christchurch. Ok for a stop over, but not much else to do in Fairlie. The holiday park is close to town and has good clean facilities. Sites are large with tables and chairs provided and there is a playground and pétanque for for some fun. The park...
