Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for three nights, and from the moment we arrived until our departure we felt taken care of. The bedroom was beautifully decorated, spacious, and quiet, and the bed was one of the most comfortable ones I have encountered when travelling. Every evening we would get to choose our breakfast of the next day from an extensive menu (their delicious Full Irish is a must), and we had access to the tea room with additional snacks whenever we felt like it.
The surrounding area offers many opportunities: beaches, biking and hiking tours along the coastline, walks and hikes into Connemara, and so on. A small tip from our side: try to stop by the Marian Grotto and Shrine located on the waterfront by the Dooneen Pier between Moyard and Letterfrack and light a candle. Even for us, travelling by bus/foot and thus not having access to a car, this was an excellent location in order to experience the versatility of the west coast landscape.
We definitely recommend the Eriu Lodge (but in order to stay here you'll have to be quick, because we told everyone we know to come here, too).

We had a very pleasant stay at Eriu Lodge B&B. We were welcomed by Nell and Tommy, the proprietors. They couldn’t have been more caring and helpful. The rooms were large and spacious. The bathrooms were too. Breakfast was deliciously cooked and there were many options. Would stay here again.

Stayed one night, contacted them about an hour before arrival and lucky for us they had one last room.
The location is not walkable to any restaurants or bars, but it is a very nice retreat and close to clifden by car for example. The room we got was huge with a very big bathroom. Outside you will find a lot of sheep eating and walking.
The hostess and her husband were very nice and helped us plan our trip for the next day.
The tea and coffee set in the room was a very nice touch as well.
The breakfast menu was massive but we went with the pancakes, and they were amazing with freshly cut fruit.
Would definitely stay if around again.
P. S. The best wifi we ever had in Ireland so far.
