We have just stayed at Chalet Chovettaz in Les Contamines for four nights with friends, their children and one of our children. What a brilliant surprise. We'd never heard of this resort - it was booked by our friends - but now can't wait to go back; one hour transfer from Geneva and only a five minute bubble up to... More

Just returned from a 4 day trip, 3 dads taking our kids away for a few days so we needed it to be easy and it was. Clean, spacious, exceptionally well equipped and homely. Everyone settled in quickly and found everything that we needed. Great hosts and location. If you like this area to ski then this place won't let... More

We stayed here for 4 nights over New Year and had a brilliant time. The chalet is in a great spot and our room was very comfortable with an amazing view. Nothing is too much trouble for Fiona and Chris who are the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome and were always ready to recommend places to visit.... More

We stayed here for four nights at the end of our holidays around France and what a lovely place it was. The room had a full ensuite with a bath which was very welcome, and was a good size with a balcony and fabulous views over the Alps. Fiona and Chris made us feel so welcome, even inviting us into... Four of us stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a week's walking holiday. To say we were spoilt rotten is an understatement! Fiona and Chris looked after us so well, we were really reluctant to leave! Our rooms were large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with tea making facilities and hair-driers. The food was fabulous with home made cake every... More

We had a wonderful stay here for 4 days during the summer. We were made to feel very welcome throughout, enjoyed fabulous views and great cooked breakfasts. The room was comfortable and luxurious. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

We stayed here last summer and it was the best accommodation of our trip! Fiona and Christopher were amazing. The helped us organize our hike on the TMB, booked transport and accommodation and even dropped us off at the train. We were treated to lovely food, excellent accommodation and warm company. If we are ever in the neck of the... More

We stayed here in summer 2011 as a base for walking the TMB. The lodge is lovely, clean and comfortable. Room was a little pokey but fine. The highlight was our wonderful hosts Fiona and Christopher. They really went out of their way to help us, including not only running us around town and looking after our luggage while we... More

i think the place was overpriced, small rooms and just felt kind of like we were a money making operation in a home that really couldn't be bothered to facilitate us -when we were there totally taken over, the level of service began well enough but ended with feeling like we were more in a youth hostel than a high... Chalet Chovettaz is exactly how a ski chalet should be...comfortable and cozy, friendly and relaxed. The bedroom was a generous size (not like some of the "shoe boxes" we have stayed in previously)with a full bath ensuite. We also had a lovely mountain view. Our every need was more than provided for..from being chaperoned to the slopes to being catered for like royalty....the... More
