This is physically closest to Hridaya Yoga. That's about it. The rooms are minimally furnished. Noisy AC in bungalows. There is a shared kitchen on site. Walking distance away, Mazunte and San Agustinillo are better choices if you'd like to be close to the ocean, restaurants, tiendas. If you stay at Arigalan expect to pay your full bill, in cash...

I was blessed with the opportunity to stay at hotel Arigalan for one month while completing module one at neighboring Hridaya Yoga. Here I found the quiet, comfortable space I was seeking during my journey. Waking to the sunrise outside my door every morning was beyond beautiful along with the views provided from each level of the hotel. (Roof top...

Rose and her staff are amazing in their attention to detail and kindness. They really go out of their way to do their best to make your stay a positive experience. And It truly comes from the heart. I stayed in the darkroom as well as in the regular rooms. The darkroom has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe...

This is a quiet, lovely place with great views. The bungalows all have hammocks in front tho there isn't much privacy with people walking back and forth all the time. It's strange, though, that the bungalows are so ugly inside (hence 4 rather than 5 stars). I suppose most people spend their time outdoors but it's nice to retire in...

I participated in a 10 day silent retreat at Hridaya Yoga next door to Arigalan and stayed at Arigalan for several nights afterwards. It was a really wonderful experience. Rose, the owner, was fantastic and extremely accommodating (even when I had to change my dates and room type a couple of times). I agree with others on here that the...

I stayed almost one month at Hotel Arigalan and I loved it. It's placement on top of a hill gives you outstanding views of the sea in all directions. There are wonderful small sitting areas spread out everywhere so you can always find a charming place to be on your own. It's also far from the main road, which is...

This place is cozy, independent and greatly placed on top of a hill. You can watch the sunrise in the mornings, and sunsets in the evenings. The owner takes particular care of the place, and love spreads through every inch of the hotel. Eye to detail, attention, care...outstanding! I loved my time there, I actually felt "at home". There's a...

My friend and I had a wonderful 4-night stay at Hotel Arigalan. It's a quick walk to almost anywhere in Mazunte but also far enough away to feel like you're coming home at the end of the day. The host, Rose, was wonderfully accommodating and made everything easy. We spend New Years Eve at the hotel, and Rose cooked us...

The owner, sonia, is very nice and rooms (small) are tidy and clean with AC. Full Access to shared kitchen and refrigerator. View is nice from every room and from hotel roof top for a 360 degree on all surrounding beaches. Beds are really confortable. Nice place to relax and read. People come here for the tranquility. Don't forget to...

I was waiting for a friend who was staying at this hotel during a silent retreat we were both participating in nearby. Even though the owner knew I couldn't speak, she repeatedly harassed and yelled at me to leave her property, saying "go back to where you're from". It was totally unnecessary and plain rude. She has no respect or...
