Wonderful quiet location. The site is beautifully set out and well kept. Owners on hand to offer a friendly welcome and to answer any questions about the site or about the area. A ideal base from which to visit all the Suffolk towns and villages.
Lovely campsite, friendly helpful owners, clean and modern toilets and showers. The pitches are very well spread out the space feels open. Would love to be there for their Bbq will have t book a Friday. Only small issue we had was there was a lot of smoke from the fire pits and the campsite was quiet, the smell filled our campervan and made me cough, but I except that's part of the camping experience
We had a wonderful time at the Croft. Guy and Maria were really friendly and helpful. The showers, toilets and kitchen area were all very clean and in good working order. Our son loved the ride ons, and the games area. A lovely small site with lots of other young families. Quiet at night. Within half an hour of Southwold. Would definitely go back.
Guy and Maria are superb hosts. The campsite has large pitches and clean, well kept facilities. The added touches for the children were a highlight with the games barn, play area and go carts. We also loved how there were 3 fridge freezers available for campers to store their food in. It seems most of the children joined in with a game of football on the recreation field on the evenings, which was great to see. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
We had a lovely week camping with our two kids, and three other families we knew. The generous pitches are pre-assigned and Maria was able to site most of us together, though as half-term it was busy. A big win was the three large communal fridge-freezers putting paid to the coolbox challenge of milk going off and cheese going icky. Also there are a number of pedal go-karts for free use around the site which the kids adored. The big playbarn was enjoyed most days by the kids and came into its own on the only wet day, after a few hours of in-tent games had the kids climbing the walls, so we were all able to decamp to the barn where adults could continue board games at a table while the kids played on the football table and with a massive box of Duplo. Toilets and showers are modern and kept clean, with several family-sized shower rooms, handy if you have small kids. The location is well situated for day trips to Framlingham and the beaches at Dunwich, Sizewell and Thorpe Ness (and others we didn't make it to). There is even a pleasant walk from the campsite to Laxfield. The birdsong started early (4am) but was delightful with various types nesting in the hedgerows. Definitely recommend, especially for families.…
