The fixed shower is set at 5 foot 10 so neither of us could use it. Our room was cold because a window had been left open. This problem was notified to the management. Manager did not respond and radiator took a long time to give any heat. When complaining next morning the manager could not accept the complaint and was...

I had traveled from France via Eurotunnel and I was looking to stop for tea and something. I saw a sign along the road from Rye to Hastings and stopped. It promoted 'cream tea', I was not sure what that was but it had a great feeling. I walked down the road and found this wonderful place with friendly staff...

I sat at a table that was sticky from what I think was polish, the whole bar area smelt of cleaning products. The meal...

The New Inn in Winchelsea is the place to stay when visiting Rye. The staff (apart from the blonde moment - she would like to think she owns it - needs customer skills course), rooms, food and ambiance cannot be faulted. The restaurant food is 3663 - but the ice creams are to die for and the breakfast is excellent...

My wife and I stayed there for two nights as we were attending a wedding in Rye. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good in pleasant surroundings with a lovely log fire blazing in the hearth. There is a somewhat old world feel to the place which means floorboards creak, stairs are rather twisty...
