We were 8 whisky-loving friends on our semi-regular whisky-tour to Scotland, this time to Speyside. I tried to get a room at the Mash Tun when I drove past a few years back, but at that time it was fully booked. They only have 5 rooms, all individually named after local whisky-brands, and luckily; this time we pre-booked, and got...

We arrived in Aberlour and were shown up to our lovely, river view room. We then discovered there was a pub quiz in the whisky pub downstairs! The food was excellent and the drinks were plentiful. We each had a whisky from our birth year as well as several others. Very welcoming staff, great food, great drink, and in the...

Having just come back from a stay at the Mash Tun, I cannot recommend highly enough. The rooms were excellent, food amazing and Mark and Karen, the perfect hosts. The Tun has an excellent range of whiskeys and I would definitely recommend the Glenfarclas tasting session.

We found this great pub under "pubs with rooms" and were extremely pleased with our find. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming from the start and the owners Karen and Mike continued that welcoming feeling. We ate in the pub each night and the food was good with very generous portions! The choice of whisky in the bar...
