Went for a swim and had a good dinner. The kids were happy. Room is clean and mattresses firm. We like it. Nothing fancy but definitely not a cheap place either. Parking was 25 reales extra with service right to the front door.
The only thing internacional about this hotel was the various time zone clocks in the lobby. The rooms had heated water, but it was difficult to maintain a constant temperature, as they apparently did not have an inline mixer. There was black mold in the showers, water damage to ceilings, 1 or no towels in the rooms, very noisy for the 24 hours our party of 5 stayed there. The rooms were sweltering upon arrival and slow to cool with the single room air units. There was a paper towel dispenser with waxy paper towels at the lavatory and they had community soap dispensers in the showers. The restaurant food was not internacional, but common Brazilian dishes, yet expensive. Some of our party requested room upgrades, but were told it was impossible. Note, this was prior to carnival, yet they felt they were busy, I presume, due to a wedding party that was obviously priority. Noise in the halls was non-stop, but received a burst of energy at 3 a.m. We finally left at 4 a.m. and were glad to go, as the front desk could not have cared less about our plight or displeasure. Not a place to stay if you expect a clean, accommodating, restful Internacional hotel experience.…
