What an absolute treat it was to stay at Cawley’s Guesthouse! Visiting Tubbercurry from Australia with my toddler for the wedding of two very good friends, we were welcomed so warmly from the moment we arrived and treated so graciously throughout. The building itself is astonishingly beautiful and has so much charm. Our room was elegantly decorated and oh so comfortable and cosy. The venue is wonderfully hosted by Teresa and Pierre, and complimented by an absolutely sensational team of staff. We had breakfast each morning and dinner most nights in the dining room, each and every meal was delightful and beautifully cooked, and the service impeccable. Nothing was ever a bother to our hosts or their team, even with my often rambunctious toddler who rarely sat still or used his inside voice. We feel so blessed to have experienced Tubbercurry and surrounds, and to have had the pleasure of staying at Cawley’s. It is certainly an experience that I will never forget and we can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, merci beaucoup, Teresa, Pierre and your wonderful team.

Saw the Cawley name (mine own!) and had to stop in. Teresa welcomed us in with open arms for a good chat and a signature "Cawley Cosmopolitan". Teresa and staff couldn't have been friendlier and we will remember and return to Cawley's again. Thanks to all and see you next visit to Ireland.

Teresa greated us upon our arrival and the staff took care of our bag and showed us our room. We had a lovely dinner and wine at their restaurent. Teresa later spent some time at our table telling us of the history of her guest house and of the area. We met her husband the next morning and you could tell that he also had a love for the house and it's guests.

The friendliness & attentiveness of staff was second to note. Having worked in hospitality for years it was so refreshing to see young, talented & interested staff. Bed was super cosy, as was armchair in the room. Cleanliness of very high standard. Very good value for money

Thanks Teresa and team for a wonderful overnight treat in Cawleys Guesthouse. It’s the extras that make all the difference - homemade and homegrown biscuits and grapes left in our room for a late night treat, lighting the fire in the cosy lounge for our nightcap, baking extra bread so we can take some home with us. And as always delicious food and great customer service. We highly recommend Cawleys.

A budget hotel with a twist! The twist is that the staff is super friendly and customer centric which made our stay so nice. They fixed breakfast bags for us every morning as we left early gladly and the food at their restaurent is also good.

Firstly I put in the caveat that this is 2 star guest accommodation. If you are reading this and expecting anything to a hotel standard then keep looking. My 4 star review is based upon judging the Cawley as a 2 star guest house. The Cawley guesthouse is located centrally in the small town of Toberucrry. It is above the Cawley Bar and Restaurant. The outside of the bar has a lovely welcome adorned with flowers, there is parking around the back for three cars but also bays on the street which have the bars coverage of CCTV. Upon entry the bar and restaurant are very attractive and done up in the traditional style of a good gastro pub. The welcome by the owners Teresa and Pierre was lovely and they are very attentive to the needs of their clients. The check in process was efficient with a guided walk to the room. Upon going into the resident section of the guesthouse is when the 2 star elements start to show. The dated decor, creaking stairs and mix match of rooms. Within my room you could see the signs of age with marks on the wall, old fabric headboard, tired furniture etc. However, it was very well cleaned and more than adequate for its star rating. A complimentary bottle of water, tea and coffee facilities and nice welcome packet. The WiFi in the room was at a good speed. The bed was comfy however creaked loudly in pain. The walls also allowed my entertainment to be that of the guests in the bedroom next to me who checked in late but settled down at a sensible hour. Breakfast was a decent affair with a nice selection. The full Irish was as expected with good quality ingredients and cooked well. However more careful attention to the chipped jug and floaties in the milk. Overall this in my mind is a quintessential Irish guesthouse. A lovely retreat into rural Ireland hospitality with an experience to match it. Teresa had advice on hand about local areas and maps to match. Toberucrry is not a destination town, but if you are passing through on the western drive of Ireland, a homely night is what you will have in Cawley.

On Saturday 24th I had a family gathering in Cawley’s Hotel Tubbercurry. On arrival we were greeted and made feel welcome by staff, temperature taken and was escorted to our seats which was located in an absolute beautiful Garden Terrance. All tables was situated in line with covid guidelines and you could see that the area was clean and hand sanitizer was available for use. We were then served by the very friendly and informative staff, and we all enjoyed a delicious, tasty meal. All family members couldn’t praise the food enough, both portions and presentation was top marks. I will be visiting again very soon, but I felt the service and food was exceptional that I needed to tell you all on trip advisor.

We booked a family dinner for a Saturday evening in September. We had travelled from Kildare. Both of my parents have underlying conditions so we were concerned about keeping our distance during dinner. We had originally booked a table outside but it was too cold for my mother when we got there. Teresa and Pierre set up two tables in the function room so that we could sit close enough to my parents to chat but keep a safe distance at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble. My 5yr old Daughter and Husband are both coeliac and Teresa and Pierre always have so many gluten free options available. They have a separate fryer so chips are available which is brilliant for a child as she is usually so limited when it comes to gluten free options on a kids menu. They always make such a fuss of her especially around dessert options and she loves it. The food and service is always amazing in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are so helpful and chatty. I couldn’t recommend Cawley’s enough.
