Our hosts John & Rosalind, were friendly & welcoming. Could have stayed for longer, as so relaxing! Rosalind is an amazing chef. Fantastic 5 course meal. Wine & aperitif which we had in the garden of the extensive grounds.

The best meal of our trip was here at La Roseraie - and we had eaten some good food in the previous 10 days. Our only mistake was to think we'd want to eat out on our second night - although Rosalind booked us into a very good restaurant in Montrichard which made up for our failing. John and Rosalind...

The Rawnsleys have achieved a clever balance with the prettiness of the English cottage garden and the richness and subtlety of French cuisine. Rosalind is practically a Chevalier du Tastevin and this is not ordinary B&B food. Do not bother to go out if you get the chance to eat in! On the outskirts of a village, La Roseraie makes...

What a delight! After a stress free drive from the Dordogne we arrived to be shown to the aptly named Soleil room and offered a pot of tea and sponge fingers sitting in the shade of a venerable tree by the side of the stream. Aperitif, many courses of supper, great conversation were followed by a good night's sleep and...

A charming couple, Rosalind and John made me feel warmly welcome throughout my 5-day visit. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and used locally-produced fine food and wine. The country environment of La Roseraie was delightful, with easy access to Tours, the châteaux and other centres of interest in the region. If you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable few...

La Roseraie de Vrigny is located in a most charming setting and everything is perfect -- the rooms were clean and cozy, the house was lovely and old-wordy, the breakfast and dinner were delightful, the garden was peaceful and we had excellent conversations with the owners. But if you have young children we would not recommend staying there. We had...

On this, our second visit to Rosalind and John's splendid guest house we were three couples as part of a wine society visit to the area. The welcome is as warm as can ever be expected and nothing is too much trouble. All the rooms are extremely comfortable and the whole atmosphere of this beautiful property is friendly, warm and...

Recently, we had a lovely stay at a B&B in St. Georges-sur-Cher (a small town south of Tours) ideally located for touring chateaux of the central Loire region. Hosts, Rosalind and John, provided every comfort for guests in their restored farmhouse. After long days of touring, we spent late afternoons relaxing in their beautiful garden and walking the property while...

We decided to break our journey home from Bordeaux in the Loire valley and chanced upon La Roseraie a table d'hote Gite de France as we were unable to book in at our first choice location. Despite arriving only ten minutes after booking via the phone, we were given a very warm welcome by the English owners, and with our...
