Daughter and I stayed 2 nights and loved the convenience (in-town, block from train station) and yet you're staying at a working dairy farm. Frau Mayr is a perfect and super friendly hostess (though speaks only German). Room was basic but extra clean. Breakfast excellent. We took the 40 train ride to Munich Hauptbahnhof, and wandered the spectacular local ciuntryside. If you want a "rural" setting only 300 meters from town center, excellent price and friendly faces, stay with the Mayrs. More

As our voucher was null'n void because the hotel we made reservations was bankrupt, we found our way to this farmhouse (still in use as a farmhouse). Typical Bavarian furniture and hospitality. Just a few steps from the citycenter, but so tranquil and silent. The landlady is very friendly! The breakfast is plenty and the room is spacious and has a balcony. Plenty of private parkingspace. All sightseeings nearby: Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Kochelsee, the Walchensee, Munich, Murnau, Ettal (with castle Linderhof, and cloister Ettal)... Would highly recommend this one! More
