I stayed two weeks in July, after six weeks of interrail traveling. During tis trip I got to try many mid-range hotels, I only wish all of them would study the Tokajvar on how to do it right: By caring about their guests wellbeing. Allways clean, everyting working, always restocking the breakfast, every member of staff always friendly and welcoming. Simply put: Doing every thing right all the time. With a smile. It is very obvious they take pride in their product, it shows in the details and guest care.

We had a short stop at his hotel, in a short trip visiting Tokaj region. The hotel is 3 star rated place, nothing more, large room, acceptable breakfast. Room had poor illumination system, sleeping facility needs a replacement and the bathroom too. As a big minus was the smell in the room, we had a very strange smell in the room. The hotel has an inner courtyard for cars, free of charge for aprox. 10 cars. As location it is near to the city center, 10 min walk. For one night stop it is ok, but nothing more.

The huge advantage of this hotel is its staff. Yes they remember you. They efficiently respond to queries and requests. This hotel is a simple, clean hotel. Breakfast is simple but you can eat it. In the evening you can drink wine bought at the reception. From the hotel not far to the center of Tokaj. Do we recommend this hotel? Yes. Remember. If you want a wheelchair room, please contact the hotel reception directly !!! There is only one room like this.

Good hotel not so far from the center. Small parking behind the building. Rooms are clean, enough big. Minibar in the room. No lift, but only two floors. Stuff kind and friendly. Rooms could have windows to the street, inside garden or parking. Next to the hotel is the train line and school, so you could awoken in the morning.

Pros: * Large rooms. * Clean. * Good wifi. * Breakfast was good. Cons: * The ceiling in the foyer of one of the rooms collapsed in the middle of the night due to wetness caused by airconditioner. Compensation was about 3-4$, which is a joke. * Old decor. Some easy touches would have made it nicer, e.g., the bathroom looks a bit like a gym shower. However, it was clean and well-maintained. * Quite noisy: the hotel is very close to rail tracks. Trains pass by even after 20:00.

Hotel Tokajvár is right between Tokaj railway station and Tokaj centre (600 meters in each direction). Walking distance to most wine houses and restaurants. Hotel is located in a low building around an open yard. Room was large and clean. Bed was reasonable comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free and fast Wi-Fi. A basic breakfast was included. I can recommend the hotel based on what you get for the price.

We stayed here just one night during our recent trip to Hungary. We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of this modern hotel. An excellent breakfast was included in the room rate. The only downside was that there was no restaurant on site, and the nearby recommended one was fully booked on the night we were there

It was clean and the room was bigger than expected. We got several tips at the reception, nice service. Supermarket on other side of street. Very slow WIFI. Nice bathroom and summarize it is very cheap.

The Tokavar Hotel underwent a major renovation a few years ago and is up-to-date and well maintained. It is a simple hotel, but has everything you need and is very comfortable. Easy walking distance to the center of Tokaj. Good breakfast; free parking. Tokaj is a wonderful little town on the majestic Tisza River and is the center of an important wine region. It is worth spending a couple of days to relax, taste the wine, dine along the river, and drive through the region.

Highly professional staff, good parking facilities. The building is new, cleand and well designed. The room vas very good, with comfy bed and comfortable bathroom. The breakfast was nice with home made strudel! Thanks! Wifi was everywhere also well.
