As I heared it was a change in the ownership, now is a good and cheap solution to spend some nights. It is old fashioned, but at great location, and cheap prices. For my family was a good experience, because our aim was not to spend a few night in a 5 star hotel. I recommed for people looking for good cost and return alternatives.

My partner and me spent a night here. The room is outdated, the bathroom is mouldy. The breakfast was so cheap but cost a lot. The room has WiFi in theory but it didn't work. The only positive experience is about the staff. Not recommended !

Keep out! The most disgusting and filthy place I stayed in, never again! I booked this place for my partner and I for our weekend away, we meant to go kayaking and explore Tokaj region. Our 104 room was absolutely filthy, carpet not hoovered with dirty stains. Layers of dust everywhere, but the bathroom was the worst! Absolutely filthy! We didn’t say for two nights as we planned. After the appalling ‘breakfast’ we decided that we just want go home, shower and put some clean clothes on. We both felt itchy and dirty after being in this place. I have no idea where do they got 3 starts from! I have taken some photos, cutlery in the restaurant area was covered in dust and dead insects! My partners lukewarm tea smelled of fish, so we just had some milk and a bread roll. Meats and cheese were cut with the same knife, we could see orange discoloured slices of cheese right next to salami! Absolutely disgraceful hygiene for a 3 star hotel!

I normally write very positive reviews but once in a while my temper flares when I am confronted with truly terrible standards. If this hotel has a 3* standard then the standards committee need to be fired and imprisoned. Where to start? Great location, easy parking. Ok that is all the positive stuff completed. We had room 104, it was disgusting. A stained carpet, covered in debris (vacuuming apparently is reserved for 4* hotels), the furniture was really dusty (see picture) the bathroom was in very poor repair. The sink was superglued together. The bedding had a remarkable exfoliating quality normally attributed with being scrubbed in a spa. Now dear reader, sometimes you have to rough it a bit and we were prepared to overlook the state of the room (after 2 bottles of wine at an excellent local restaurant), but breakfast tipped us over the edge. The restaurant looked like we had missed a major party. Most materials were depleted or missing. The hot water was not hot and when I made a cup of tea it smelled strangely of FISH?! Tables were covered in dirty dishes from earlier diners. The cold meat/cheese selection had clearly all been sliced with a single knife (terrible food hygiene) and there were small dead insects covering the clean knives and forks (see photo). Check out was no less disasterous with a faulty card machine, being charged twice and reimbursed in cash. I mean seriously?! I was looking forward to a weekend exploring Tokaji, now my sole focus is on going home and having a long hot shower. What makes my blood boil is that Tokaji is a lovely town with remarkable natural features, wonderful heritage and cuisine, it deserves better reviews than the shocking standards at this hotel. To our non European readers, please don’t judge Hungary by the criminal standards exhibited at this hotel. Hungarians don’t have much but they make the best with what they have and are fiercely proud of their hard work and accomplishments. I love this region encourage everyone to come and visit. Just not this hotel, OK? If you don’t believe it, check out my review of LeBor Bistro in Tokaji, possibly the finest restaurant in the country.

My wife and I stayed two nights in this hotel, and there is only one thing that worked well. That is the restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. The food was very good, they prepared it well, good portion, and very ok prices. Had the rest of the hotel been like that, then it would have been ok. The room was not cleaned after 3 days, WiFi not working in the room, no fridge, and the people in the reception do not speak English. We used the Hungarian we know, but that is limited. The traffic outside is noisy, because it is to the main street in to the city. The room was spacious enough, but it has to be cleaned.

We with a party originally wanted to go to the restaurant on the opposite side of the road, at about 9 pm. Closing hour was 10pm, but they refused us to go into. So we decided to go to this Millennium, where we had a friendly staff, they were ready to prepare food not on the menu, so we left our money for dinner there - and we were happy.

We looked at one or two places before booking here, and were not anticipating anything too fancy after reading the tripadvisor write-ups, but the hotel is reasonable value for money. It had the usual pitfalls of a pretty average place: a shower which sprayed water everwhere and a shower door which was anything but watertight, etc. We opted for the middle floor (rather than the top foor which had air conditioning) but the rooms were very hot (given that this is Hungary, not Andalucía!!!) and the road, which is 10 meters away, is really busy with tractors and trucks from early on: the locals certainly catch the worms! However the place was clean and most respectable. A special mention for the staff: tremendous effort made to be helpful, from those who spoke English well and helped with tourist info, to those with about ten words! Top marks! And the breakfasts were great: lots to select from in a buffet one day and for the weekend a choice of (humungous!) cooked breakfasts. We didn't think the restaurant looked so great, but the breakfasts were good and on Friday and Saturday nights the place was packed with locals and Hungarian tourists, so maybe it is worth a try. It was really cheap and included all the usual favourites! Good place to stay if this is the sort of accomodation you are looking for!

Room Tip: Take an attic/top floor room in summer and for 5 euros more you have air conditioning. Earplugs...

My family stayed here for one night about 110 US dollars, they didn't tell us there was no internet service on the second floor.... the toilet seat was broken, not just loose but it completely fell off along with our small child. Our tv didn't work, but they did swap it from a broken 1950's model to a working one...same decade though..... we had to pay extra for air conditioning, and breakfast was not included. Oh and our view could be seen if we stood on chairs because we had skylights. I've never had an experience like this before.

Stayed at this Hotel for 1 night. Rooms are spacious and clean. Wifi in the lobby. Prices are more expensive then the Tokaj Hotel up the road, which is very comparable to this hotel We didnt try their restaurant, but it looks like they serve meals in the back of the Hotel

We were 3 adults and 2 babies (both of them aged 2) to stay at this hotel. We booked an apartment, which was actually a room with four beds. Although a few things were broken in the room, there was nothing very bad or very good - this was a typical, average mid-range hotel. However, I feel that the price was way too high - I paid HUF 24,900, or around EUR 90 for the room including breakfast. I am sure that I could have found a similar room for a much lower price, maybe around HUF 16,500 or EUR 60 elsewhere in Tokaj. Next time we go to Tokaj, we will probably stay elsewhere.
