Our family travelled up to the Masterton area for the 2017 balloon festival and because it kept getting rained on we needed to extend our stay. Most everything was booked but I found the Summit searching on my cellphone and started to make a reservation punching in a room for "2 adults + 2 children". Upon having trouble with my...

Our hosts Tracey and Jim were fantastic and their lodge very comfortable, modern and well appointed. We had a great stay in a nice room, with separate ensuite and view out to lovely gardens. The location of this property is in amongst a now developed piece of rural land that our hosts have spent considerable time planting with a variety...

On arrival to the property you can't help but admire the gardens and the peaceful rural setting. As we pulled in Dexter the chocolate labrador was there to greet us. Tracey and Jim soon had us settled in and as we were the only guests we had the whole guest wing to ourselves which really was a luxury. There was...

My fiancee and I are visiting New Zealand from the UK and booked to stay at the Summit Lodge for one night for my friend's wedding. We are based in Raglan for our holiday so travelled a good 8 hours to get here. Upon arriving we were pleasantly greeted by a very happy dog, Dexter, and the owners and hosts...

The house and garden are beautiful! The owners do an amazing job at maintaining the property. The room and bathroom are comfortable, clean, and quiet. The owners prepared a delicious breakfast the next morning, and most of the food they served was home made. We only spent one night but I could have spent a whole week there...

Hi Elodie, thank you so much for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Providing home baked bread, muesli and jams made from fruit from the garden...not to mention eggs from our chickens is all part of what we love to provide our guests for breakfast. What we can't grow/produce/make ourselves is locally sourced to ensure...

What a great setup, a separate private wing to the building for guest accommodation. Lovely gardens surround the property as well as friendly Alpacas in a nearby paddock. Very comfy bed and a great outdoor spa. Tracy was a lovely host with excellent knowledge of the area and cooks a great breakfast. Definitely will return if in the area again.

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house and immense garden are beautiful. The separate guest wing is quiet and private.
