If you ever need to stay in the ecclefechan area, I would 100% recommend that you stay here. On the outside it is a quaint village pub/b&b. On the inside you will find a warm family who welcome you into their home. Very modern refurbished rooms- better than some 4* fancy places that I have stayed in, with big bathrooms... More

Called in here off the highway on our journey from Edinburgh to Kirkby Stephen hoping to find something to eat. When we entered the bar we were greated by Jo who immediately made us feel welcome. We sat by the wood fire and chatted with an elderly lady and her daughter while waiting for our meal, and Joe gave us... More

Unique stay in all ways, love the refurbishment that is happening (exposing the 400 year old walls - fantastic), good food and selection of beers and gins! Love the banter in the bar and at breakfast. Joe, Mary, Steve and their team are fantastic - am sure we will be back one day on our travels.

We have been coming here for nearly ten years and it gets better as the years go by. We call Joe Mary and Steve our friends now. They have refurbished the hotel to a very high standard, they have worked very hard to achieve this.
