I stayed in 61 B&B for three nights. What an absolute pleasure it was. The building itself is beautiful and steeped in history. The room was bright, beautifully decorated & immaculately clean. Helen the owner was what really made this trip extra special. She couldn't have been more helpful and friendly throughout our stay. One more thing! The breakfast is...

We have just come home from a two night stay at Tynemouth 61. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay for my husbands birthday weekend. Helen and her husband have clearly spent a huge amount of money in bringing this property up to a very high standard.I picked the room Collingwood for its little balcony and it...

A real home from home. We were lucky enough to enjoy a 4 day stay at No 61. Very comfortable twin room with all home comforts. Nothing was too much trouble for Helen and her wonderful staff, who manage to run the whole operation with seamless grace. Well worth a visit. Good location for shopping, walking and train station. Thank...

We enjoyed a pleasant light lunch with very welcoming staff. The food was nice. They were very busy, with people queuing, and cleaned the table at the end of our meal while we were still sat there. We were surprised when we got the bill. This was the first time that we had been charged for tap water when either at home or...

I've been going to these tea rooms on and off for years. I'm not sure if it's been owned by the same people but the staff have always been helpful and pleasant. The foods is mainly light snacks and the cakes are great. There is a garden which was very atmospheric with thick climbers on the walls. It's been cleaned...

We stayed in Tynemouth as we were working locally. Tynemouth 61 guest House is a very nice place to stay. Very clean, comfortable and in a great location. A warm welcome from the start and first class breakfast. Highly recommended and a place I would happily return to with my wife. Thank you for a great stay.

I have been living in Holland for the last 27 years but was brought up in the beautiful village of Tynemouth. Most of my family still live in the area, so I return two or three times a year. As a child I was often taken to 61 House for high tea and if the weather was nice we often...

Spent 3 nights at this lovely guest house in Tynemouth. The room was as described and was very comfortable with great views. Breakfast is pre ordered and cooked to perfection. The staff are very attentive and you feel as if you are getting personal service, often lacking in hotels. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here last weekend and this is a lovely bed & breakfast. The location is great on the main street in Tynemouth and parking is available outside with a permit (obtainable from the owner). We had a room overlooking the main street and there was no noise whatsoever. The room was spotless, a great breakfast and a very warm...
