Sport Hotel*** is a hotel in the heart of Slovakia. Hotel carries tradition and is know for its family atmosphere. It forms part of a long history of a village Donovaly, which has now become a well-known ski resort. Hotel offers great services, new restaurant and lobby bar area, brand new modern congress room, beautiful wellness with massages, saunas, large and small swimming pool and fitness centre. New rooms and Family Suits are ideal for families with kids. All rooms are after large reconstruction and are now equipped with new wooden furniture, Wi-Fi and TV with satellite. Our mountain hotel is an ideal place to relax for everyone who enjoys beautiful nature of Low Tatras. Our guests can make use of multifunction playground, and the largest kids playground in front of the hotel. The hotel is the first and eldest hotel in the village Donovaly. First opening dates back to 1938 after two years of intensive works. Loads of historical episodes in Slovak history have taken place here. Sport Hotel*** has been reconstructed numerous times and the last and largest reconstruction had taken place in 2015. In April 2016 we have opened the historical door of our hotel once again.

I have mixed views about this hotel, some aspects were excellent but others poor for example the play room for my three children aged 8, 5 and 3 along with the all day and night entertainment was excellent (has to be parent supervised). Parents can enjoy a quiet drink while kids are entertained. However, the room was very disappointing, we found a travel cot along with the two beds and so had to pinch a bed from our friends room for our 3year old which then left only a very small walkway through to our double bedroom. The bathroom was tiny and could only be accessed through the kids room. Not comfortable for a weeks stay with a family of 5 and lots of ski wear. The cleaners didn't even make the beds or change the glasses some days. On the plus side the food for the adults was on the whole very good, but the choice for children at dinner was poor, all 4 children lived on bread, rice, sweetcorn and pudding for a week! The pools were also great for the kids. It didn't help that the much bragged about kindergarten at Patty ski was closed, we still don't know why as there were a few runs open and there was snow so we had to spend more time in the hotel looking after the two smaller children.…

Stayed the for two nights. Nice breakfast. Nice indoors swimming pool. The hotel is very children friendly, but Slovakian is by far the spoken language. There was a problem getting cold tap water, and the front desk staff offered cold water from the restaurant.

Visit this hotel just to use the swimming pool. As we stayed in a private property nearby. It's a only swimming pool in Donovaly so there was no choice. Coming in with 5 year old boy and charged 32 euros to go in swimming pool! As they sell you a package 3 hours spa experience where u can use saunas+swimming pool. Could be excellent for couples to enjoy the time, but please how you can charge this price for one hour just visiting the A TINY swimming pool max 7*3 metres.Try to deal with receptionist but she was only repeating herself saying this are charges and we cannot reduce or give discount. Such a shame!

The hotel is one of the quality hotels in the Tatra mountains. The staff solved all our requests; the room is not that big but still comfortable. The breakfast was fine. I plan to visit it in the summer too.

I would very much recommend this hotel. Clean, cosy, small, I simply loved it!! Perfect for family with kids as they have indoor/outdoor playgrounds. Me and my family felt really great last wkd here.On Saturday night there was this grill dinner outside. It was such a cosy atmosphere:) really great. One bad aspect though - we went for a late check out as we wanted to let the kids play outside and have their nap time too but we were not announced the restaurant will not serve lunch. Don't know if it's a Sunday rule, but it would have helped to look for another restaurant in time.

Nice hotel, nice staff, good food...nice hotel for all family, baby friendyl with small swimming pool for children, children playground inside and outside with animals. Little deficiency - high and very soft mattress for somebody who is not used for that

I stayed at the hotel together with fiancé for one night off-season. We were passing through the city and needed a place to stay for the night and found "sport hotel" on a sign and called them and made a reservation directly. And we were not disappointed. It truly was a wonderful stay! We were practically alone in the hotel, we got a large nice room with a well equipped bathroom. The Wellness area is open until 10 pm, and we were there in between 6-8.30 pm and we were alone the entire time. Large jacuzzi and four different types of saunas just to mention some of the specs! Moreover the food in the restaurant was cheap and rally tasty, especially the pork tenderloins! All together a great stay for a very reasonably price taking into account all the value you get for your money!

I spent 1 night only on my business. Hotel was renovated in 2016. Rooms are a little small, but very nice. Hotel wellness and pool are nice. Hotel restaurant´s foods are average. Hotels parking for free

The best experience! Amazing and helpful staff from the receptionist to waiters. Quality of the food was indescribable...tasty as hell Thete is a kids area full of toys just next to restaurant so you can enjoy the dinner and kids can play close to you Spa and pools are clean and have relaxing atmosphere. Next time booking only this hotel in Donovaly! Well done !
