Very nice location. Most friendly staff we ever met. Good food, especially dinners. No language problems. Some nice free activities within hotel territory. Pool was always clean. Great room service. Cliff bar prices are very good so we could easily enjoy drinks in the hotel under curfew.
Very clean hotel, dinner dishes are very deliciuos and different at all evening (starter, spoup, main course, desert), personal from reseption and restaurant is very attentional and polite. Very good location.
The hotel is definitely not a 4*. The hotel looks inviting from the outside but the rest is very ordinary, the whole hotel stopped in the 80's.The smell on reception and room was unbearable! very poor breakfast, no snacks, all inclusive is like half board! this hotel needs a new manager! staying at the hotel was my worst stay !! I can’t rate it even 2*
im not one for writing negative reviews and have no axe to grind but please do not waste your hard earned money visiting this place. i could go into detail on how bad this place is but if i told you how hard fresh drinking is to obtain you can imagine what tue rest of the Service is like. loads of nice hotels on the Island so no need to consider here. just terrible really bad.
The hotel looks nice but rooms aren't. They're oldish. The view I had was on a thrashcans. Although the view of the mountain was excellent, I don't complain. But they could hide thrash elsewhere. The pool is not heated off season, which makes it unusable then. There is an indoor pool which is a huge plus, but the tiles are worn off and you may hurt your leg on a broken one. The breafast was a worst part honestly. I couldn't find anything to eat except fries. It's not like there was a little, but there could be more variety except stews and cooked vegetabales. All in all I enjoyed the trip a lot but just because I didn't stay in hotel, booked with breakfast only and travelled around Madeira whole day. Wouldn't have much to do here. The lobby had a great view on a garden, sea and hills and you can read a book in a great atmosphere there. Localization is quite far away from everything but Madeira is small. You should definitely rent a car, this is must have. The town is small and cozy. I was about to give 3 stars but I'm giving 4 because of the mountain views and CATS. I love cats and they were fed by the guests without complaints of the staff.…
