After staying at this hotel pre pandemic, we were happy to recommend this hotel to our friends, unfortunately to our disappointment the hotel has introduced the mandatory wearing of plastic swimming caps. ( at additional cost). However, It is OK to drink alcohol from a glass whilst in the pool ( no danger of broken glass getting in the pool - not) On the positive side the location is great, the rooms a clean and there is an easy shuttle to Rome airport
The hotel itself is a pretty good option as a lay over before you fly out of Rome or if you get in late and need a stop over before heading to your destination. The hotel is quite dated but the rooms are okay. The vents for the air conditioning units are absolutely filthy which was quite off putting. The major problem is the noise from a fairground that has located itself a short distance away from the Hotel Tiber. The music is booming but the worst part is the noise from someone speaking on a microphone to introduce the music and rides= the racket went on until midnight and was pretty unbearable. The hotel staff are aware of this and have complained to the authorities but to no avail. You just can't stay at this hotel whilst this persists.
My husband and I stumbled upon this hotel when looking for a place to eat while on a one-night layover outside of Rome. We were staying at another hotel near the airport (without a restaurant) and just by luck, we walked by this hotel looking for a place to have dinner. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. This was our last night of a three-week Croatia and Italy vacation and this hotel served us our best meal of our whole trip. The oysters were outstanding, the main course was delicious, and the dessert was divine. We enjoyed a fabulous bottle(s) of wine after telling the waiter to just bring whatever white wine he recommended and we were even given a complimentary dessert drink by the bartender upon our departure. My only regret was not staying here overnight (but having had made reservations elsewhere, it was too late to change our plans.) (After dinner we took a wonderful sunset stroll down the pier right outside of the hotel and loved watching the locals fish alongside the commercial fishing boats.)…
Check in was at 1. We depated our cruise ship and arrive at Hotel around 1030. Sored luggage, went to pool. Then went to local beach. The rooms weren't ready till 3! Tv I couldn't get to work. No grab bars in tub with very tall sides. No coffee available until 630 and then none that was not an espresso. I understand I was in italy but I think k they could provide regular coffee for all the travelers. Also No outlets for electronics. Bring adapters!
Big Turkeys are very demanding so hence> I only go to the best! By the way this is not my first time going there! It’s a great way to end your final day in Italy before you leave the next day! Beautiful river view ! Great place to hang out and the next day you have the hotel’s navetta for 6 euros to the airport!
The best hotel in Fiumicino. Everyone was very friendly. The view from the pool and terrace were spectacular! Great place to spend our last day in Rome. The hotel's restaurant was quite good as well. I loved walking along the river and seeing the fishing boats. We will return!
About 10-15 minutes drive from FCO (Leonardo da Vinci) Airport Roma depending on whether using the shuttle bus which serves a number of the airport hotels or are driving there yourself. Bright, clean, excellent service from friendly staff with excellent English. Rooms are bright and most seem to have a sea or port view. The icing on the cake is the lovely rooftop swimming pool that you can avail of during summer months before heading off on the next leg of your journey. There are also many restaurants and pizzerias within a few minutes walk from the hotel to enjoy on your overnight.
We stayed at the hotel this past Saturday night prior to an early flight home. The hotel was very clean and had some nice touches. We ate at the restaurant which took us without a reservation. Then the party started right under our room, into the night very loud music and screaming. There was no need to call the front desk, hearing from other comments nothing would have happened. After very little sleep we left via shuttle and attempted to sleep on the 9 hr trip home. I would stay again, but get a back room.
Everything good, modern hotel, comfortable room, nicely appointed, pleasant people and a tasty meal outside (albeit a little windy) When we were there a lady with a cane slipped on her suitcase and was taken to the hospital, hopefully she is OK.. The staff were really attentive and helped her..
We flew to Rome early the day before our cruise, staying overnight at Hotel Tiber. It was first-rate in every respect. The front desk staff locked up our luggage until our room was ready. The hotel's location is perfect, next to the river and the dozens of commercial boats that fish the Mediterranean every day. Lots of really nice restaurants within a few minutes walk. We were there on a Sunday and families strolled along the quay all day. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff helpful in every way. Perfect place if you need a hotel near the Rome airport.
