We brought our Father here for his 80th birthday The whole experience here was amazing All staff where friendly and helpful The three rooms we booked where clean and spacious Food was absolutely exceptional Would highly recommend this hotel A special thankyou to Martin
Mum and I had an overnight stay in Kildare House Hotel after a shopping a trip to Kildare Outlet. The hotel is only a 5 minute drive from the outlet. On arrival the reception staff were very friendly. Our room was great with tea/coffee facilities and water. Rooms were spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom with very comfortable beds. We had booked the shop, dine and stay offer which we got a 3 course meal which was fantastic. Plenty of choice on the menu and the portion sizes were huge. The restaurant was lovely and modern with a nice atmosphere and again all staff were very friendly and took the time for a chat and give advice of things to do in the local area. The hotel also has a new burger/cocktail bar refurbished, this wasn't opened yet but we had a look in and looks very trendy and is opening soon. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.…
Stayed here overnight on a business trip. The room was fairly basic with a good bathroom. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which I couldn’t fault. Food was hot and very tasty. Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Had breakfast. Here and have to say it was poor. I opted for the full Irish breakfast and I was dissapointed. It wasn’t hot and felt like most of the items hadn’t been cooked long enough. Came back here for lunch on way to the airport and had me a ham and cheese toastie and that was really nice
We are four motorcycling ladies from England and I can honestly say Martin the owner and his team were incredible, I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Food was amazing, rooms brilliant and service was second to none. Thank you so much for the best time ever.
Hotel just needs a bit of love, a bit dated, gallops restaurant pretty good, staff lovely good craic, soul burger, well now that was different, served a guinness that had a massive head male staff tried to say it was ok, not good attitude from him at all, judge yourselves
We stayed here for two nights to attend the races in Kildare. Beautiful family run hotel: clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. Highly recommend. Close to lots of quaint Irish bars and restaurants. Staff were excellent.
We stayed at Kildare House for two nights - Friday 29th and Saturday 30th July. On the first evening we ate in the Gallops Restaurant. It has a comprehensive overall menu but in particular has an excellent Vegan menu. Unlike many restaurants where there is only one vegan option Kildare House offers a number of choices. This was matched by the Breakfast menu the following day. Food quality was excellent; very tastefully presented with friendly serving staff. We plan to return when we are next in Ireland.
Stayed here in July 22 for one night..very nice hotel and good friendly and attentive staff with a very pleasant demeanour..just two things leaving it disadvantaged...no lift service and the bar shuts at 10.30pm...but overall enjoyed our time there
The best hotel for Vegan food options that I have ever been to, there is no other like it!! The hotel have a team of people who are all vegan/vegetarian aware! The whole menu has Vegan alternatives - making a 100% of all options Vegan - unreal! The rooms are beautiful- I opted for a small but magnificent room with a small display of fairies and gnomes outside of the windows. The best hotel that I ever stayed at! There is also the Grand Union Canal close by for paddleboarding, which is stunning - well worth dropping into Kildare.
We booked a table in the Gallops Restaurant for dinner on Wednesday 8 June 2022. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our starters n drinks arrived without issue. However the meal went rapidly downhill from here. We had to ask twice for water n seek out a server to take a drinks order. He had to write it down as he could not remember 3 drinks n water. Our main course was not served to us until about 40 mins after our starters were cleared. One steak was fine, one overdone, duck which should have been served rare was med to well. Veg served with chicken was cold n underdone and potatoes were not fresh. We did receive an apology for the delay from the server. Our mains were cleared n after another 30 min wait my husband had to look for a server as still no sign of our desserts. 2 were fine, one was inedible. When we were leaving we were asked if everything was OK. My husband replied no & outlined the above. He received a sorry about that apology, nothing more. We paid full price of €150.40 for a poor meal with appalling service. Apparently a chef phoned in sick n they weren't expecting the rush. My husband replied that we were as we had booked. No offer of a manager to speak with us, comp. a round of drinks. NOTHING. At no time did there appear to be a manager or supervisor in the restaurant. It was not packed from what we could see. In our area there were 4 other tables of 2 and our table of 4- all staggered, hardly a rush. Up until this meal we have had good food but service can be hit and miss. WHAT.A.DISASTER. Joan Mason previously regular customer. Contact details on your system.…
