This place is simply wonderful from start to finish, Firstly Marie pleasantly welcomes you with afternoon tea and then you can go anywhere for dinner. We had a really restful night in the peace and quiet of this beautiful I’d home. Breakfast was fresh and nicely cooked. Our host couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. Would love to come back. By the way it’s ridiculously good value too,

This lovely B and B was just as described and even better! Marie is a gracious, welcoming hostess. The grounds are beautiful and we loved seeing the wee rabbits hopping about as we drove the long, treelined driveway. The cattle and horses about in the fields are top quality. The house is tastefully decorated and the beds so comfortable. Good shower facilities too. The breakfast was delicious. Marie had recommendations for supper as well. We were made to feel most welcome and when I had forgotten something , Marie was quick to message me. So kind. In short a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this B and B if you are in the area. Words really can't do it justice.

This place is beautiful. Marie was so accommodating when we arrived at 10pm. The building has so much character and I loved how it was decorated. I loved the long driveway up and the views where beautiful. The rooms were the perfect temperature and bedding was so lovely.

We arrived with a baby and with Marie there it made traveling with Damien so much easier. Prices were great and breakfast was lovely.

Every little detail was perfect. Would definitely stay again. I loved the vintage style to some of the house and the china was like a treat to use. 😁

This is a charming B&B filled with great character and warmth! Fantastic, classic furnishings, and the most comfortable bed after 10. months traveling. (Thank you so much, Marie!) Coming up to the house, we were invaded by a group of young bunnies, adding just the right touch of magic to our visit! Marie brought us a pot of tea and biscuits after checking us in and we relaxed. Marie's full Irish breakfast was a feast! A beautiful way to experience Ireland!

We stayed here during the August bank holiday weekend and we had such a lovely stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely long driveway and gorgeous grounds. We were greeted with a lovely welcome by Marie, tea & biscuits and had a delicious breakfast before leaving. It was so hard to leave, the house is beautiful! We will definitely be back, thank you Marie!

Although we were only one day there, we found it was the best B&B we stayed at in Ireland. The house appeared at the end of a countryroad romantically lined with firtrees and with its being half covered with ivy and the horses and the cute little dog as a first sight as we parked our car, we immeadiately were charmed. We were then greeted with so much friendlyness and then being invited into a cosy living room for tea and cookies- we felt welcomed as never before in a B&B. We were allowed to sit and talk with other guests in very comfortable armchairs/sofas (and it got very late til we went to sleep) and thus had the chance to get in touch with other people much better than in those B&Bs which don't offer the opportunity to meet and sit in such a homely atmosphere. Our room was nice and big (and she said it was one of the smallest) and featured tea/coffeemaking facilities, a TV (and I think that thing underneath was even a DVD-player!), an view out to the garden and an electric blanket which made us more than happy as we went to bed after a cold and rainy day. Breakfast was served in a charming kitchen with the sweetest dishes/dinnerware! It was tasty and featured cereals, toast, bread, cheese and orange juice that tasted like freshly squeezed (we forgot to ask whether it really was). Plus, we could have chosen a full Irish breakfast- but only went for scrambled eggs and bacon, which was lovely as was the jam (not plasticstuff).
We want to thank Marie for such a nice last day in Ireland and for a friendliness that didn't seem "business-like", but really warm and from the heart! We hope the foal will be coming soon and that it will be well- and we will definetly come back if we're gonna be in Ireland once again!

I can't say enough great things about Marie. She is kind, warm and welcoming. We stayed here two nights during our trip. The room was very spacious and the bed had heating blankets on it. What an awesome perk after being out all day on a chilly spring day in Ireland.

We stayed here as it was close to my family in Laois and there are no B&B's in Laois. The driveway is a long tree lined path that looks like the perfect countryside escape. The house is 240 years old and simply beautiful. Marie greeted us in the parking lot - which was large - and showed us to our room. We left quickly to have dinner with my family and were out late. The bed was easily the most comfortable of the whole trip and the heating pad helped make it the most restful night we'd had in Ireland since arriving. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious and quiet breakfast before leaving for our next stop. We were headed to Dublin & our next stay was in Swords, but, they couldn't take us for 3 nights, only 2. So, after one night there, we went back to Cloncarlin. Marie welcomed us back with hugs and was able to give us the same room. She had the heating pads ready for us after waiting until almost 9pm for us to arrive that second time.

Wifi: The wifi was best downstairs and very weak upstairs, but, that was fine with us.

Cloncarlin is in a great location for visiting the midlands of Ireland and only about an hour or so from Dublin. Since Dublin has very few B&B's that take the travel vouchers - this is a great place to stay along the way!

My husband and I really enjoyed both of our stays here and would highly recommend it. The best nights of rest we had the whole trip and Marie is just lovely. I hope we can return someday soon! Thank you, Marie!

What a warm, friendly welcome we got from Mary who showed us to our large bedroom overlooking the lovely surrounding countryside. Mary gave us afternoon tea in her comfortable downstairs lounge room and let us book in early as we had travelled from the UK and had had a busy morning with the flight. Our breakfasts were wonderful with plenty of choice. We were so glad that we had booked in for two nights. It was such a quiet retreat and we had two great nights of sleep.

I have just returned from my first stay in Cloncarlin House B&B and I had an absolutely fabulous time. Was over in Monasterevin for a family party at the weekend and was not disappointed with the B&B; it lived up to everything I had heard about it and more. Marie couldn't do enough for us and it really was home from home. This will be my first port of call whenever I visit Ireland in the future, I couldn't recommend it enough.
