We stayed here during the August bank holiday weekend and we had such a lovely stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely long driveway and gorgeous grounds. We were greeted with a lovely welcome by Marie, tea & biscuits and had a delicious breakfast before leaving. It was so hard to leave, the house is beautiful! We will definitely be back, thank you Marie!
Absolutely lovely owners that couldn't do enough for us on our late arrival. Fabulous charming country house setting. Comfortable bed, warm, friendly and homely. Excellent irish breakfast too. Highly recommended. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks for everything.
This was a step into Irish history with all of the modern amenities. The home is a beautiful stately estate surrounded by a lush working farm. I loved the architecture and can only imagine the events held there a century ago. Mary is a wonderful hostess. Breakfast was grand.
A charming farmhouse with all the home comforts including electric blanket in the winter! We've stayed at this B & B for the past 14 years whenever we visit Ireland for our annual getaway, we even spent our honeymoon here! Marie is a wonderful hostess and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is fabulous and caters for everyone, if you sample the cooked one you'll be very satisfied as we always are. We particularly like this special place because of it's old charm, comfort & hospitality. The farmhouse has large, bright & warm rooms. Ideally located in Monasterevin near to motorway M7, Kildare town & The Curragh racecourse.
The drive up to Cloncarlin House goes up a tree lined lane that looks magical all by itself. The Inn is on a working farm with a herd of cows and horses. When we arrived, we buzzed for entrance and were met by the Innkeeper, Marie. She made us comfortable right away. The house itself is a converted farm house with 2.5 levels. Our rooms had their own bathrooms, a teapot, a comfortable chair for sitting, and windows that opened to let in fresh air. Marie had good recommendations for dinner in Kildare which helped us after a day of driving. She was also very accommodating with an early breakfast so we could make it to the airport (about an hour drive but we were expecting traffic). I took a walk around the property in the morning and almost got lost in the mist! I found my way back tho ;). They also have a very sweet and friendly ginger colored dog that wanted to play. I loved it and wish we could have stayed another day. Thank you Marie <3…
Our party stayed two days with Marie. Found her to be very warm and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, clean and also welcoming. Very large rooms, at least ours was. Breakfast was individualized to each desire. This was one of the best accommodations we stayed at. Advice though look for signs to get there. GPS wasn’t helpful, but signs clear.
Marie the hostess makes you feel comfortable when you arrive with hot coffee/tea and biscuits. The room was large and bright. Bed was comfortable with an electric blanket if needed. Breakfast was a large a large English in a quaint dinning room overlooking the pasture. It is off the beaten path so pubs will be in Kildare about 10k.
Stayed here for two nights and would definitely recommend it. Marie welcomed us with a pot of tea and showed us to our very generous sized room at the front overlooking the horses. Very comfy bed and after her full Irish breakfast you won’t need lunch! Thank you Marie and love to Fritz the dog!
This was a perfect Bed and breakfast , tucked away on a large farm . Great quiet farm house with beautiful area to relax. Marie was a great host. She fixed us a nice tray of tea and biscuits. The rooms are beautiful and cozy.
Warm welcome, amazing house! Really liked the stay and would definitely recommend it! Clean rooms, tasty breakfast. I really felt welcome there. Lady also recommended where to go for food - and she was right. Thank you so much for a great time.
