The Nomadic is the perfect place to stay while in Nosara. I have stayed in many different places over the years for surf trips, I think Nomadic is really the best of them all. It is a cozy boutique hotel, with gorgeous architecture and style, plenty of different places to chill, relax, read. And a beautiful pool. They offer an incredible cooked breakfast in the morning that is awesome, and different every day. They have a bar with lots of drink options, that also serves as great spot to meet other guests, have a good time. The rooms are great, really spacious, and everything is immaculate and fresh. A very mellow vibe perfect to recover between surf sessions. The location is prime, with several nearby restaurants. The service is also awesome, the small staff take care of you, make sure you're happy and help with planning stuff (yoga classes, dinners, etc.) The other nice thing is that they have overnight security hanging around making sure everything safe. I would definitely go back, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nosara…
My boyfriend and I visited The Nomadic over Thanksgiving (US) in November 2020, we had a beyond incredible time of surfing, eating, shopping, and swimming. Israel, Sofia, and all other staff were helpful, kind, and made us feel like we were at home. We had rented a car and there was parking in the front, breakfast was promptly served every morning with some of the best fruit I’ve ever had! I highly suggest anyone book a trip to The Nomadic if traveling alone or with a small group. It is built to perfection!
I stayed at the Nomadic as a solo traveller for more than three weeks and had the best time ever. Because of Covid, they only allowed 50% occupancy of the dorm, which I absolutely appreciated. What makes the Nomadic for me personally is of course the beautiful architecture of the hotel itself but most of all the staff who work there. Israel, Sofia, Isabel, Luz (the breakfast is unbelievably delicious) and the security guard (whose name I can't remember right now). They are all incredibly nice, helpful and always try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I had to leave Nosara at 3am to catch a bus to Santa Teresa and the security guard waited with me for over 40 minutes for the bus. Many thanks again for that. I can more than recommend the Nomadic for solo travellers who still want some comfort in a quiet ambience. I'm still in Costa Rica and heading back to Nosara very soon. So looking forward to say hi again. :-)…
I recently stayed at the Hotel Nomadic for almost three weeks at the suggestion of a friend who lives in Playa Guiones. She can book all your Nosara travel through "Nosara Family Surf" It was exactly what I needed after a year like 2020 has been! Upon arrival I was greeted by the hotel manager, Israel, like an old friend. He walked me around the tidy and intimate property pointing out the many features and rules (really just one, don't be late for the complimentary breakfast!) He also gave me some very walkable directions to local "mini-supers" and the organic grocer as well pointing me in the direction of the short walk to the beach. (There are no "beachfront" properties in Guiones as there is an ecological preserve easement running the entire length of the coastline. So the walk to the beach is kinda a cool adventure on paths through the jungle) This hotel is small but has everything: secure surfboard storage, pool, bar, gift shop, outdoor shaded yoga studio and a myriad of loungeable spots from a free hanging day bed to shaded pool lounges. The accommodations run from a dorm-style room to a deluxe apartment (I chose the latter so I could have a kitchen and living room). The mix of room choices made for an eclectic group of world travelers. Some whom have become friends I hope to keep for a lifetime. Above all, the service was exemplary from every tuk tuk call quad rental to dining reservations. All done with a smile and a "pura vida!". The surf culture in Guiones is strong but no local vibe if you respect surf etiquette and behave as the guest you are. The waves are so consistent there is almost always something to surf. Short road trips to Ostional or Camaronal can yield less crowded and potentially more critical surf. Strike missions by boat can be arranged for more adventurous and experienced surfers. Hats off to the manager Israel, the owners and staff for giving me the best three weeks of 2020. I'll be back Pura Vida!…
I LOVED staying at this hotel. The rooms are very modern, clean and such a nice piece of heaven within Playa Guiones. If you are a solo traveler this is the perfect place to stay while you explore Nosara. Israel ( the hotel manager) was so kind and made me feel comfortable and everyone on the staff is lovely. I would highly recommend staying here. When I come back to Nosara this is the property I will be staying in!
