We stayed in the elephant room, and it smellled as if the bedding had never been washed. There were also roaches in the kitchen. Funky, friendly, with a lovely outdoor shower, but I would not stay here again.

I really like the vibe of this place. Welcoming owners, cosey common areas and an overall laid back attitude. Also very important, you'll get a nice quiet night sleep here! Outside areas and reception area could use a sweep and some cobweb removal but other than that this hostel shouldn't change a thing to. It's a unique place. So good...

Stayed here for a few days so relaxing after being in the city. Made to feel at home and a beautiful garden to chill in. The whole feel of the place is super relaxed. Close to local amenities and tour operators and an I site . Wifi is available at a small price or ypu can go into town for...

The first place i visited after arriving in Auckland in December 2015. The hostel and the owners are very relaxed, spend a lovely christmas there (and kept on extending my stay) and went back in May 2016.

I stayed here a while ago, but loved the whole look and design of the place - feels like a Tiki-Hut in the middle of the jungle! Coromandel is a mysterious and lovely area and this hostel fits the atmosphere perfectly.

This is the best backpacker I've stayed in the North Island. Just a nice, simple and cosy place. The solar shower outside in the garden definitely worth a try! Showering with a view on Coromandel's green hills was pretty cool. Would def recommend staying there!

I stayed there for 3 nights and really enjoyed my stay. I was in a 3 bed dorm, big enough and big windows. I loved the "hippie" atmosphere, the outside shower and the patio. Very nice owners. Only 10 minutes walk to the restaurants and shops. I would come back if I am back to Coromandel

The bed is comfortable, toilets and kitchen are clean, the common area is big and very comfortable, I love it very much. It costs $5 for a practically unlimited WIFI, we did not use it, it will be great if we could just pay a little (e.g. $1) for a few MB of WIFI as I just wanted to book...

I could not recommend this hostel more. It has a very relaxed vibe set away from the main road in the tiny Coromandel Town. To be honest there isn't a lot to do in the town, but there are some great walks and the staff are only too happy to point these out to you. The dorm room was clean...
