Discovered this Inn/Restaurant purely by accident as had intended to take my mother in law who was staying with us at the time to Ayr. However, being Saturday and the Ayr Races were on plus Armed Forces Day we couldn't get near the place. So decided to explore the Heads of Ayr and came across the Dunure Inn more by...

We found this inn by accident one day when Ayr was full. The sea food was excellent and fresh caught locally and to be recommended. The service was just right and friendly. Like so many pubs and inns the bar area has been "modernised", which in my opinion removes the atmosphere, the floor looks like modern laminate and the furniture...

My husband and I had one night at the Dunure Inn to celebrate my birthday and we were blown away by the place. The village of Dunure is beautiful and the style of the inn complements the surroundings perfectly. The rooms were clean and furnished to a very high standard. The staff were down to earth and couldn't have been...

I chose this property in order to be away from the bustle of Glasgow and yet still be close enough to visit there. It was perfect. The place is so charming and really a secret find. If you love to travel and get away from the typical tourist destinations, this is the place for you. Although the Inn is small,...

Cute little bar with great meals. The menu is quite varied and should suit most tastes. Prices are normal. The staff are very friendly and have a reasonably fast service. You can sit outside in the terrace - wasps permitting!!! However, we always prefer to sit inside to experience the atmosphere. It is worth a visit, as well as enjoying...

Nice little inn in a very pretty part of the country. Although the site says that dogs are welcome, they are only welcome in two adjoining cottages - but not in the rooms in the inn itself. During the weekend, the restaurant can be busy - so make sure you book a table. Food is nice, although it would be...

When we arrived for a 3-day break we were told that the room we had booked in the main building had a non-functioning toilet so was unavailable so we were put instead into a "cottage" . I continued to request that something be done to fix the problem. Eventually something was done - the toilet was fixed and we were...

I was only staying one night on business in the area but found the place to be great. The location is beautiful right on the sea in a beatiful part of Scotland. The staff were some of the nicest I've ever come across, from the girl who showed me to my room, through bar staff, waitresses and the guy who...
