We stayed here for just 1 night back in August but wished we could have stayed longer. After a night wild camping in the Cairngorms we couldn't be happier to arrive at the warmth and comfort of this hotel. We had a friendly welcome and offer of a free shot of whiskey! The room was lovely, really clean and very...

Lovely comfy clean hotel. Friendly staff . Lovely room and off the road so very quiet. Nice breakfast with great choice. Plus side was that owners kept check out open for us so we could shower after half marathon at nearby Aviemore . We will return.

This is an attractive small hotel. Proprietors are very friendly and the inn was set up to make us feel very welcome. Breakfast was superb. Room was very tiny and old-fashioned but quiet and comfortable. Restaurant recommendation was not good; the worst meal we had in Scotland.

We are very glad we stayed at the Fairwinds in Carrbridge instead of in a hotel in a big town centre like Aviemore, overall we would definitely stay again. Pros: - Lovely service from the hosts, included fixing our botched booking at check-in (our fault), offering dinner recommendations, table service at breakfast and other general tips. - Nice room with...

Family run hotel, where you are made to feel really at home. We phoned them at 10.30pm to see if they had a room for the night. Although it was late and we would not arrive until 11pm the owner made us feel really welcome. We stayed for two nights. Lovely spacious and clean rooms. Delicious home made cakes in...

Very relaxing break in this small friendly hotel. Not a lot to do in Carrbridge but it is handy for Aviemore & Inverness. It was nice to get a cooked breakfast delivered to our table rather than the drive up buffet version you often get. If you like a quiet peaceful stay this is the place to go.

This charming hotel is comfortable and welcoming. It's location - at the end of a lane - means there is no traffic noise and the setting is restful. Rooms are a generous size - no falling over cases - and everything clean with decent-sized bed and towels! Breakfast in the pleasant conservatory and again, absolutely no complaints about service or...

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we stayed one night at the Fairwinds Hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. We were booked in the Strathspey room which was excellent and had a fabulous bathroom. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was superb: a great choice for a small hotel and of outstanding quality. We plan to come...

This lovely family run hotel is hidden off the main road. We booked in for one night. We had the strathspey room. This room was massive. Bedding was lovely, quilt was ace. Best nights sleep for a long time. There was tea/coffee facilities. Still/fizzy water. Home made cakes (yum yum). Bathroom is pure luxury. Twin sinks. Underfloor heating. Separate shower...

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Very nice relaxing and peaceful location. Hotel is small and room relatively cosy, but has all you need (including good shower facilities). Staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was included which was great, as it was made to order and of a good standard. Pub just down the road for dinner also highly...
