We stay here the night before we go on holiday great location right next to airport but never hear planes, rooms are beautiful, drinks in bar are bit pricey but we are starting our holiday so don’t mind.
We had an enjoyable experience at the Doubletree by Hilton Newcastle airport Although the shower was not the best weak power and leaked onto the toilet floor bad design Positive We met Daria on both occasions She is a marvellous asset to the hotel Works non stop is cheery chatty and informative Look forward to meeting her again if we use Newcastle airport in the future
Great stay while needing an airport hotel staff are always helpful and the stay included a deal for parking. Breakfast is excellent and has plenty of choice for all tastes. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
We stop at this hotel 3 to 4 times a year and have always found the staff and service to be very good. This was our first stay after the covid lock down and found the hotel as good as ever. Screens, sanitisers and spacing all very visible. Room was spotless, they always are. The bar was busy but well spaced and the staff sorted us quickly. Breakfast was good and well organised. Really hope this hotel makes it through the crisis as they have always been good for us ever since it became a doubletree, only down side was no cookies.
I have stayed here maybe 8-10 times over the last few years. Rooms are clean, Covid hygiene regime in place. Nice walk in showers and lots of space. It’s right opposite the airport. However there had always been a food issue every time I have stayed and tonight no different! I have been with colleagues before and turned away from the restaurant (chef not cooking today; kitchen is closing etc). I have managed to eat in bar and restaurant too but it is nothing special and the service is snotty. So tonight after a long day at work and travelling I went down at 9pm hoping to get a bar meal. No can do! If the hotel was next to lots of eating places maybe that’d be ok but it is surrounded by nothing much and a petrol station. So I think that’s not the right way to handle the kitchen here. In the end I jumped in the car and bought a lovely take away curry for £9. Hotels loss - I was an easy customer to get and still they turned my money away! …
