Took parents here (on their recommendation after being a couple of time) for mothers' birthday. Service was excellent and food was really nice. Wasn't much on the menu that I fancied to eat so didn't have too much choice, but that could just be because of my personal preference. This eatery is slightly more expensive than others have visited, but...

We celebrated a birthday lunch here and it was lovely. The lunch was beautifully cooked and we all had a variety of dishes. However, I must say that the puddings were unremarkable. The portions were excellent and the quality of the food was very good. I would definitely visit again.

I can't understand some of the negative reviews. I've been here about half a dozen times and the food and service has always been spot on. Yes it's a little more expensive than your average pub grub, but this is not your average pub grub. We called in for Sunday lunch and were warmly greeted by who I think was...

This was our 3rd visit, the previous 2 had been spot on. I ordered ribs, my husband after some deliberation and discussion with the waitress, ordered the chefs pie from the senior citizens menu but wanted this as a regular meal. Guideline was chosen because on the previous visit, he had ordered the steak, old speckled hen & haggis pie...

Like to say it was hot and well presented. Unfortunately my meal lacked the haggis. Which is distinctive. As the owner is a chef he knows best apparently, Shame. I might hint at coming back. But will have to pass on it.
