This is a lovely B&B. It is based down one of the residential back streets in Shepton Mallet, very close to the Mulberry Factory Shop. Our hosts were very friendly and attentive. The room itself was beautifully decorated and looked out on a grassy area at the back of the house. The free Wi-Fi was very speedy and the bed... More

Had a lovely stay for 2 nights, myself, my husband and 2 of our friends. Beautiful cottage, even in November. Central for getting out and about. Very clean and comfortable with an amazing breakfast each morning. Would definitely come back and stay.

The Maplestone is tucked away in a historic and quaint part of the town, but 5 minutes from the centre. The building dates back several centuries so has great character. Our room was sparsely but tastefully furnished, with whitewashed stone walls, but with a modern bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and professional and the breakfast was plentiful and beautifully... More

Whilst Shepton Mallet has (it turns out) not much to offer, it does serve as a very good base to explore the surrounding area. Our two night stay in Maplestone b&b was very good. The building itself is very pretty, an older stone building which has been tastefully extended in a very attractive way. The room (above the garage area)... More

Spent a few hours in Wells as couldn't check in until 4pm but all good as we found a nice pub for a spot of lunch. Arrived about 4.10pm to a lovely welcome from Gillian and were taken top the room - Oak - which was spacious and possessed one extremely big and comfortable bed with the most amazing duvet!... More

Stayed for 3 nights in the cottage which was very rustic and picturesque, although we thought the cottage felt a little bit damp. The hosts Donald and Jill were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were first rate, overall a very pleasant break.

Stayed for a 3 nights in the cottage which had a sitting room and kitchenette area. Clean, cosy and comfortable! Made to feel very welcome! Breakfasts were delicious and eggs were fresh from the chickens in the garden! Quiet, picturesque location! A delightful find!!!

We stayed at Maplestone for 4 nights. Our room was very comfortable, good shower, nice towels, comfy bed and spacious room, in a really peaceful setting. We were well looked after with a delicious breakast each morning, milk to take up every evening for our cups of tea, Donald served our breakfast outside one morning when the weather was nice,... We only stayed one night at Maplestone, but from what we experienced we feel that we could highly recommend it. The room was very pleasant, spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we both had an excellent night's sleep. It was so wonderfully quiet, tucked away in a little street, close to the centre of Shepton Mallet.... More

Stayed one night and were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Thanks for that extra glass of water! Large room, totally quiet, comfortable bed (slept far longer than planned!), good shower and towels. Good breakfast served in the lovely dining room. Dinner in pub a few doors away was fine, although we were the only customers! (it was... More
