I've read the reviews saying how much better this hotel was in the past and can only say it must have been exceptional as it's pretty good now. We spent 3 nights there this week and really enjoyed it. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and efficient, our dog was spoiled rotten and the food...

We stayed for one night having previously visited a number of years ago. The reviews have always been mixed however our previous experience was a good one so we had no reservations in booking again. We wish we hadn't and its such a shame as they are so close to being a fantastic coaching inn however ultimately fails badly. Firstly...

I think this place is trying to be something it is not and staff training seems to be letting it down. We had a couple of nights’ stay here recently. It all sounded lovely on paper but in reality things are not quite as good. We stayed in the Marsh Harrier suite and the accommodation was good. Nice touch to...

This is a lovely venue. A sympathetically decorated yet traditional coaching inn. My bedroom is very nicely appointed and the bar has a fine selection of wines and beers. The snacks at the bar are locally sourced products - which is a small but very nice touch. The staff provided a fantastically friendly and warm welcome and service at the...

Shown to our room, which was a 'best' it was upstairs (rather steep ones) in the main building. Not as spacious as advertised, expecting a huge comfy bed but not so big and not so comfy...the ceilings, the walls and the floor are all over the place in this room, it may well get away as being called 'feature' but...

We stayed one night on Friday 10th April and were welcomed from the minute we arrived. Everybody made a fuss of our puppy Ned, and he was given treats, a water bowl and blanket. In the bar the staff loved him and at breakfast he got a sausage or two! Very nice location for walking dogs, we particularly liked the...

had a lovely two days here in march 2015,and picked it primarily because of the allowing of dogs in the room and bar. Lovely comfortable bed, room very good, roll top bath in room and separate shower room and toilet. Eating in, not cheap but very good. I can see why people thought the portions were small, we thought this...

I had tried to book The Ship at Dunwich a couple of miles down the road - but it was booked up. I settled for the Westleton Crown hoping it would be as good. In fact it exceeded all my expectations. A lovely room. A blanket and dog treats awaiting my labrador & a sausage breakfast all to himself. Yummy!...

Things I liked... first and foremost, the staff were great. Helpful, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make us happy, we couldn't possibly have asked for more. The food was good, 3 courses for less than £20 is fine by me for our evening meal and our breakfast "Full-Suffolk" was quality locally sourced produce including particularly...

We only stayed one night while up at Minsmere bird watching. We received a really warm welcome as we checked in from Maria who showed us to our room which is across the courtyard from the main building. The room - whilst small - was warm (it was a rather cold night), freshly decorated and very clean. There is a...
