The staff here are very friendly and the rooms are cleaned every day. Quiet hotel but this may be because of present circumstances. Ten minute walk to the beach and main restaurant area of Playa Blanca. Twenty minute walk to the marina for even more bars and restaurants. Small shop on site which is not over-priced. Restaurant closed for evening meals but buffet breakfast was available with a great choice.
We stayed at the hotel just as the covid pandemic was beginning to impact. As a result we spent the second half of the week confined to the premises. Location is great for access to beaches and town. Rooms were clean and tidy and our rooms both had balcony areas with a good degree of privacy and great views. All staff were excellent and all requests were dealt with promptly and efficiently. The maintenance staff were always buzzing around and the whole site was in good clean order. The 4 pools were great but unfortunately had to be closed during the holiday as pandemic restrictions were applied. The small shop on site was very handy. A special shout to Manuel and his staff who ran the bar and restaurant and kept us all fed and sane. They were truly exceptional in the circumstances. I will definitely return to enjoy the full holiday experience.…
This was an excellent hotel to stay in, Good location, beautiful pools, lovely apartments, well stocked shop. BUT OVER THE YEARS IT HAS DETERIORATED, A quick make-over was put in place a few years ago, but it was "Plastering over the cracks" the last visit was 2019, we did not book this year for obvious reasons, but our last experience was a massive decline in standards. The room was dirty, the put-you-up settee was sunk and filthy,"We asked for a sheet so we could sit down rather than get our cloths dirty" the fridge was stinking and had to have the drain cleared, and to top it all the sun loungers were" sunk-in" and absolutely filthy from constant use and never been jet washed. We would love to visit the Cay Sun Beach again, BUT I shall ensure you have addressed the situation before booking. Come on you had it all going for you, INVEST FOR YOUR FUTURE.…
Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband and 8 year daughter. We used this hotel as a base as we were at the beach every day! The weather was beautiful whilst we was there. The bottom pool is definitely slightly heated and was warm enough for my daughter and husband to have a swim in every day after the beach. We stayed s/c so no comments on the food there's loads of lovely restaurants near by and at the marina. Very good location around a 10 mins walk to the beach. Rooms are basic but all you need. The staff are very friendly too. No problems at all would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at Caybeach hotel for 10 days in the end of February. We chose B&B option and had a one bed apartment with a living room and a balcony. The location of the hotel is good with walkable distance to the centre of Playa Blanca and the Marina. There is a Dino express shop 5 min walk away and a small shop within the resort. Breakfast was ok with some fresh bread rolls, cold cheese and meats, some veg, some pastry (not so fresh) and fruits. Coffee was not great but all in all the food was acceptable and there was enough for everyone. There are two large and one small swimming pools plus two more kids swimming pools with some slides. The water was freezing in all hence we did not use it other than just sun bathing next to it. Plenty of sun loungers every day. The room was fine with two twin beds joined together (was supposed to be double bed but not a massive issue), walkin shower, basic kitchen amenities incl. coffee machine which made better coffee than the one available at breakfast. The living room had a sofa bed, that was slightly falling apart but still usable, a table with chairs and a tv with a coffee table. The tv had some English channels but we only watch the sky news every now and then. Wifi worked wine on the balcony and around the pools. The signal wasn't great inside the apartment but we hardly spent any time inside anyway. The room was clean most days i.e. beds were made and fresh towels hung. They wouldn't clean the mugs if you leave them out and there were no free tea/coffee/toiletries to replace. Again, all this was fine with us. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, saunas and a gym. The gym is very basic and used with two yoga mattes that are literally falling apart, some basic weights, one old cross trainer and one old stationary bike. The swimming pool was nice and the water was slightly heated but not too much for someone wanting to swim properly. The saunas were never on and there was no information as to how to turn them on or whom to speak to, although I gathered from the previous reviews that one would need to speak to reception- we did not bother. I would prefer the indoor facilities to stay open for longer as they only worked 10-17. There was also a playground for the little ones, table tennis, tennis and basket ball available. All in all I have been to better hotels but it is a 3 stars after all so I did not expect anything amazing. It is good for what it is and the overall stay was very pleasant. I would use them again for the same price.…
