This really is a beautiful hotel with fantastic food and a good location if you don't want to be right amongst the hustle and bustle. It's the only place I've been back to again because we knew how good it was and trusted they would look after us during the current situation. Unfortunately we had a problem in that we were not issued the all inclusive bands on arrival. We assumed this was something to do with Covid until by day 3 we were being repeatedly challenged by wait staff. Asked at reception who promptly issued the bands and we made sure they knew to clear the bill of anything we'd signed for in those 3 days. Unfortunately upon check out this hadn't been done. We were promised it would be looked at immediately but our transfer arrived before this was complete. Staff dealt with the situation well (I was quite upset!) but it's a shame that we had to go through that at a 5* hotel.

We ended up staying far longer than originally intended due to flight cancellations home. The staff were very accommodating finding us a bigger room so that we could spread out, relax and work from the room too. No request was too much trouble and the housekeeping were amazing even bringing in an extra desk/lamp/sofa bed to make us as comfortable as possible. Carlos, who helped organise this, was so helpful and friendly. Paola was so kind to me on a number of occasions as was Noemi (reception). I have an ongoing health condition and Noemi provided a heater for the room when it was stormy and cold (unusual for Lanzarote) and I had bath salts (along with chocolates) delivered to my room to help with my aches and pains. The hotel grounds are stunningly beautiful and always well maintained. The food varied over the time we were there but the restaurant staff went out of way to accommodate our requests and we enjoyed some great privilege meals as well as food at the Dolce Vita. The Christmas and New Year year buffets were amazing and up to their usual high standards. Miguel, Georgia and Jaicamo were brilliant (all customer service staff) at listening and responding to our needs. The hotel is experiencing low occupancy due to COVID-19 but all the staff have kept professional and hard working despite reduced hours, job uncertainty, etc. I could not say goodbye to everyone as I was truly moved by my stay, the kindness and friendliness of the staff, and therefore knew I would be in tears! I felt as though the hotel was my second home and I really hope to be back in December 21. Love and best wishes to all the staff. Keep safe and well. Thank you for everything.

This hotel is fighting Covid'19 with a lot of dignity. Its facilities are great (although not everyting is open, owing to the pandemic) and it is still an excellent choice for a one week stay in family, with the proximity of Playa dorada in particular. Besides, the hotel was gracious enough to put a small room with Ethernet at my entire disposal, so that I could do some telework for a couple of hours every day. The PR staff (Miguel and Paula) in particular was very considerate and helpful. I warmly recommend the hotel for a break away.

Although the hotel had been forewarned both in writing and on the phone of our dietary preferences, the food choices available to us as vegans were limited/non-existent, and it took repeated requests once already there for the hotel management to take seriously the need to provide alternatives to us, especially as we were booked on an all inclusive basis. I also agree with previous reviewers that the hygiene measures in the buffet area seemed insufficient, as I found on repeated occasions spoons used to serve the food in the food itself, with no guarantee that the guests that had used them before had indeed made good use of the disinfectant gels. In my opinion a disappointing experience on the culinary front and certainly not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel.

We are sorry to read that despite the efforts made by our teams in order to suit your taste preferences, it was not enough to satisfy you during your short stay. After talking with you, we went to buy some special ingredients to your preferences. We would like to remind that we follow the safety measures stated by the authorities. We don't create the legislation, but we follow it. Indeed, we have had many inspections since we reopened and we always succeed. As you might have seen, there is hydro-alcoholic gel at the entrance of the restaurant and in every food station, as well as distance marks, and other measures (table distances, restaurant working under bookings, etc). Indeed, coming as a Privilege guest you enjoyed a la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner, being a very good additional measure. For sure, your different comments and notifications will be taken into account carefully, in order to improve, since the main goal of the hotel is to offer better experiences each season, increasing the guests’ satisfaction and having even better quality standards. Every feedback is studied in addition of the weekly survey control we are doing at the hotel, giving us a very good result about where to put our efforts on. Best regards, The Management.
