Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Entertainment looked fun, didn't participate but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Good vibes from the staff. Would be better if there were more entertainment/area's to drink for the couples in their 20's. However, a solid 7/10 score given.

Hotel's Favourite
Second time at this hotel (stayed Apr 2019). Love staying here! Found the reception staff excellent, especially with all the covid checks needed on check in. Room was lovely and clean, although would be good to have Water replenished in your room once you’ve finished with your previous bottles (was all inclusive). Loved the restaurants and buffet. Found there was a variety of choice. The Italian and Asian restaurant was brilliant. Always found a sun bed in fact it was quite quiet, assume due to covid. Main pool was nice and refreshing, especially needed in the afternoon sun. Pool was a bit dirty and there were some tiles missing. Mikes coffee is a personal favourite of ours, although bit of a shame it’s now not open until the afternoon (used to be in the AM). Always love going to the bar area in the evening and love the choice of cocktail menus. Overall, found the hotel clean and hotel staff friendly / helpful. At this difficult time I felt they were doing a great job! Thank you. Would definitely go again.

Great family resort and food is fantastic. Long walk from kids pool to snack bar and no other place poolside to get a drink as the truck bar was closed. Animation team great and lots going on. One of the slides was out of order which is disappointing. The fact these areas are the only negatives shows how impressive this place is. 100% recommend

It was definitely the BEST hotel that I have stayed in. Therooms were clean, the landscapes breathtakings and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend going to the Spa since the attention there was incredible. Regina guided us throught the spa and facilities and we fell in love with her good predisposition and charisma.

Wine tasting with Marta was really good , fun , entertaining, she explained all the wines and we tasted them all . We laughed with the other guests along with Marta who was very inclusive of everyone who attended the wine tasting . The exercise class on the trampets in the heated pool was really good fun and I really enjoyed it .

The hotel was great. We had a nightmare with TUI and the rep Mike is the biggest waste of space. However, where TUI failed the Rubicon stepped up and we still had a good holiday, despite TUI losing our luggage and not willing to help even after 3 days. Christina from guest relations was a super star and helped us every step of the the way. We can’t thank her enough! Avoid TUI and Mike the rep, but do book the Rubicon hotel!

Great hotel with lovely grounds. Was lucky to be upgraded to a Privilege room (8417) so had the extra touches of mini bar, water replenished, pool towels, dressing gowns and slippers. Rooms are clean and tidy. I think the tea & coffee tray could be moved to the larger unit so the area could be used as a dressing table in front of the mirror. Wide choice of food in the buffet restaurant for every meal, sometimes not always labelled correctly but could always find something different to eat. I don't think there are enough staff as guests seemed to be clearing tables themselves to sit down. Also ate in Sakura which was nice. Theatre show food was ok although I think the salad isn't really necessary, was quite hard to get drinks other than wine, found the seating quite tight and the theatre really hot BUT the entertainment was brilliant. Georgina has an incredible voice and the entertainment team work very hard. Evening entertainment in the Piano bar was really good most nights and the outside acts in the Disco bar were great alongside the ones in the Plaza. Majority of staff are really friendly, Fabien, Arnold and Diego in the Piano and Disco bar were great. Unfortunately the service in the Piano bar at night was very slow as table service only but so many guests queued to get their own drinks as sometimes it was hard to get the attention of some of the waiters, not those named. Pools are salt water and started off quite cold but they did start to warm up a bit, never had trouble finding a sun lounger even though people do reserve them early morning ! Towels can be collected from reception with a deposit of $10 and can be changed whenever you like. Hotel is quite a walk to Playa Blanca but there is a bus No 30 which runs every half hour on a loop and is $1.40 and takes around 10-15 mins to get to Rubicon Market which is on Wednesday and Saturday and here you will find a choice of restaurants, Few negatives but nothing major Wifi wasn't very good in the room or the Piano bar but did work around the pool Slow drinks service in the Piano bar Main bridge between the two large pools needs a bit of attention as some of the boards are a trip hazard.
