Lovely…. ! This was a breath of fresh air, as we’d stayed in an awfully overcrowded and stressful hotel before and then came to las Brisas straight after. Las Brisas was relaxing, clean, efficient and had friendly staff. This was the exact opposite of the terrible h10 rubicon palace. I’d definitely stay again! Only downside was my husband’s Fitbit got stolen from the pool area. It was not a staff member though, so I wouldn’t mark it down based on our bad bit of luck.
We stayed in a 2 bed unit at Las Brisas in March 2022. The unit is very spacious and well equipped, and can sleep another 2 people on the sofa bed in the open plan lounge, but I wouldn’t recommend that. The whole resort is very well maintained, clean and tidy. The staff in every department were all very professional but friendly. The resort is in a great location and only 5 mins walk from the bars, restaurants and shops, and only a few minutes from an excellent large supermarket. The resort provides limited toiletries, pool towels, and there is a very small free safe in the room. There is a good size room safe for hire, and electricity use is charged, but both cost only about £16 for one week, so great value. Our only complaint, it it was our only complaint, was that we were only provided with one set of door keys, which would be no use for a family. Also, the bus from the airport takes less than 1hr, and arrives at the bus terminal which is literally next door, and only 3.30€ PP each way.…
We have done 3 other RCI exchanges in Lanzarote. Diamond Club Calypso, Diamond Club Maratima and Club Las Calas. This one beats the rest hands down for many reasons. The others all charge a £50/euro deposit. Las Brisas do not. Likewise, they do not charge for WiFI, (which works perfectly) beach towels, sun lounger mattresses, small room safe, washing machine. They don't charge an upfront 20 euro utility like the others do. So a good start to any holiday not getting fleeced for every euro they can get out of you. LOCATION. RCI list this as being in Yaiza, Thinking it's the town of Yaiza, which is further inland. This is why we have not stayed here before. This is a bit misleading because it's not. It's actually in the heart of Playa Blanca (the district of Yaiza), exactly where we wanted to be. A minutes walk from the bus stop. A great location near all the bars, restaurants, supermarkets and anything else you would possibly want to visit. About a 5 minute walk down to the sea front. Set in a large complex of lush well maintained grounds. All apartments are single storey bungalows ,so obviously all on ground floor levels. RECEPTION/CHECKING IN. As soon as you walk in you can't help but notice, proudly displayed on the walls their decades of gold RCI awards. The check in ladies are nothing but polite, helpful and professional. Although the room wasn't ready, as we arrived very early. They took our number to call us as soon as we could pick up the keys. Their helpfulness continued throughout our stay. THE APARTMENT. We was in apartment 51 along the far edge. To be honest you can't complain about the location about any of them. They are all very unique. They all have a small front garden area with a patio , which we found very unusual. All south facing so you get the sun all day. When we first entered, spacious and clean was our first impressions. We did find 3 minor faults with the room which we reported to reception straight away just so we didn't get the blame. These were noted and fixed by the time we got back to the room an hour later. There was everything you would possibly need in the room. Better equipped than the other locations I have mentioned. One small criticism is that a non slip bath mat would be a good idea as the shower is over the bath. Each room has their own meter for the utility so you pay for what you use. Ours was 13 euro for the week. I believe this only applies for RCI exchanges which is normal. Our apartment was a 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. They state this apartment sleeps 4. Yes it does as there is a pull out settee. Ideal for children but not ideal for adults. Space wise ok for 4 adults but I wouldn't recommend sleeping 4. As previously mentioned there is a small hidden wall safe, which was ample for us. There is a larger safe available but I believe there is a fee for this. Each room has air conditioning and a portable fan. The other locations mentioned do not. That said we did not need to use either. Unlike the other locations this apartment comes with a washing machine and a dishwasher. THE BAR. Here I must say that the bar is not run by the complex. This is a privately owned franchise. The first impression as you walk in is that it is clean and spacious with a nice outside terrace. They've even allocated a separate area outside for the smokers. A great sun trap during the day overlooking the pool. We did use the bar a few times and had one quick meal. The food was very basic but not bad value for money. The bar is well stocked and have anything you would want. We however, like to get out and about rather than use a complex pool bar. It's obvious that there's owners that have been coming here for many years. You can spot them a mile off. The bar area being the hub was in my opinion very cliquey during the evening. I was even told that being a "newbie" we will find it much better once we get to know more people. To us it seemed like a little England with all the football chants constantly being shouted during one evening we was there for an hour or so. No hint of anything Spanish here. But I understand that is what some people like. It appeared that most of the regulars (not all) felt that they're exempt from wearing a mask when walking around. They did not bother despite a large sign clearly stating that "masks must be worn unless seated." This was mentioned to the staff who agreed with us. The staff wore their mask constantly. But it appeared that they was afraid to say anything to the regulars. Have to say the staff are very good and proficient with their service. Because of this lack of enforcement of the rules I would say that this area is not completely covid safe. I suggest either enforce the rules or remove the sign. The inside bar area is very bright and clinical during the evening, very echoey. More like a works canteen. Needs to be cosied up a bit so to give it a warmer feel. A relatively easy cheap fix. All said the owner and his team are all very pleasant. POOL AREA. A very large pool. Many pools in Lanzarote state that their pools are heated when they clearly are not. But this certainly is, even has an on duty lifeguard. We only used the pool once. Also I didn't notice any of this reserving sunbeds with a towel and going out for the day. I understand that this area has recently been refurbished which makes it a very pleasant area to be with plenty of sunbeds and mattresses free to use. HOUSEKEEPING. Could not fault this at all. Very clean and tidy. We was asked to be out of the room on the Monday so that housekeeping can come in and do a full clean. Obviously trying their best to be covid safe. CONCLUSION. A great place and so glad that we have found it. We will certainly be back as soon as availability will allow. The manager should be very proud of this place and more importantly his team who are very professional and conscientious…
Great and friendly resort. Very clean and good facilities. Professional staff and great location. Only negative was the TV didn't work very well but no biggy. Overall highly recommended and thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so memorable.
I had no idea what to expect when I booked Las Brisas, but I shouldn’t have worried for a moment! From start to finish I felt happy, safe and extremely happy with my exchange. The complex accommodation is made up of semi and terraced one storey bungalows with a terrace and small well kept garden. Sun loungers and table and chairs are provided. We stayed in a 1 bed unit (46) at the back of the complex close to gates allowing easy access to supermarkets, shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We loved our location in the resort. The fantastic new pool was a couple of minutes walk away too. Plenty of sun loungers and a life guard. Pool towels are provided. There is a club house with regular entertainment and good food. The gardens of the complex are superb and everything is well maintained. The units are spacious and well furnished. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. It is totally equipped with just about everything you need if you decide to cater in. There is a complete bathroom - bath with shower, bidet etc. The 1 bed units have 1 twin bedded room and 1 bathroom + sofa bed. The 2 bedroom bungalows have a double bed in master with ensuite and a twin bedded room with a bathroom close-by.The 2 bed units are extremely spacious. And we were more than happy in our 1 bed unit. It’s a great resort for both families and couples. I loved it so much that I have purchased a week in a 2 bedroom unit. There was no hard sell. I approached the guy in site who told me what was available as a resale. I can’t wait to go back at the end of March! Playa Blanca is a pretty little place. …
With Covid we thought we'd try self-catering instead of a hotel with a buffet and we were pleased with our choice. Its one of the few pools we've tried in Lanzarote that actually feels heated. Its nice to have the extra space of a bungalow. Reception staff all very helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The bar serves food if you're stuck but its mostly something frozen with chips. Very English menu. The specials were slightly better but they have this really strange system of needing to book them at the bar in advance. They only do a limited few of the popular meals? Its a bit surprising that more effort isn't put into the restaurant when its a big complex but there are numerous others across the road at the harbour if you've no walking difficulties.
My husband and I have been coming to Las Brisas for 15 years. We love it and I can't understand how even 7 people gave it a Poor review. Each villa is a real home from home with everything you need in it. Each has is own air conditioning unit, it's own patio and front gate. The restaurant/bar is run by very friendly staff and the food is excellent. The outdoor heated swimming pool has recently been refurbished and is great and there is a lifeguard 7 days a week. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly and, if you do need to report a fault, they have an on-site maintenance man.
We had a 2 bedroom bungalow quite close to the pool. Lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Free wifi. The kitchen had everything we needed. Did have to buy dishwasher tablets at 50 cents each in the resort shop. Pool was lovely and heated too!! Lifeguard always on duty. The resort is just a 5 minute walk from the seafront and shops. There ae a number of restaurants down there. Clubhouse itself is also good with evening entertainment. We had a car and it was really easy to drive in Lanzarote so we explored the whole island. Don't miss the volcano and the caves and the salt flats tour was really good too.
Lovely resort, good location, close to all amenities. Very helpful staff in all departments especially the manager, Emilio.Great bar restaurant good food. Also evening entertainment. Short walk into the town centre and seafront. Good long walk to the marina and Rubicon.
The bungalows are well situated, close to the harbour and beaches. They were a bit dated but good value for money. But the bar/restaurant is definitely a weak point of the complex. My wife thought it was an ugly structure with depressing tables and chairs inside and no attempt to decorate at all. The surroundings made it somewhere we didn't want to eat. Outside is slightly better but no shade provided for most tables which is difficult when most people wouldn't risk eating indoors because of Covid. Nobody wants to eat in full sun. This would put me off staying again if I had to go out for every meal. It wouldn't take much to fix at least the outside area it if they wanted to. The staff were very nice though.
