Of three places we stopped at on a cycling holiday, this was definitely the best. Son Mercadal is a lovely old country house in the middle of nowhere with no real sense that you're in a hotel. There's a real sense of peace both within and without the house. The pool is beautiful, nestling in lovely shady gardens. Dotted around...

Stayed for 2 nights wished we could stay longer. Beautiful house and gardens all immaculately clean and tidy. Excellent traditional food. Will definitely try and visit again. Note: the map location is not accurate but don't be put off

We had problems finding the place when we arrived on Majorca but the owner came to our rescue and picked us up from the next town. When we were finally there, it was like being in another world. The decoration creates a perfect ambiente. Everywhere are little charming corners to sit. The staff is very friendly. The beautiful pool is...

Really gorgeous converted farmhouse/agricultural buildings filled with antiques and objects. Lovely areas to sit. Full of character and atmosphere. Beautiful gardens, patio area and terrace and really excellent food. Had the best food of our holiday here. Our room had antique bed and furniture and some nice touches. Also a nice private terrace with wooden loungers. The house could feel...

This was the second hotel on our cycling trip & we found it very hard to leave! From the moment we arrived we were made most welcome & the lovely lady ( whose name I cannot spell) even provide us with plates & cutlery to eat our own picnic at lunchtime as we had arrived much earlier than we had...

This was, by a landslide, the absolute best place we stayed during our entire trip. It is ridiculously beautiful, the rooms are so quaint, so cozy. The grounds are stunning, the food delicious (and quite an experience-you never know what you're going to get but be brave. eat it. it's good. even the rabbit.), the staff incredibly helpful and accommodating....

The antiquity and elegance of this hidden "diamond" get-away left me in awe!! Quite difficult to locate even with GPS guidance but so worth the perseverance. Surrounded by vineyards, and orchards, it is most romantic and gorgeous, a perfect location for a honeymoon. A delicious and expansive breakfast spread is included and dinner is available each evening; the owner prepares...

We booked Son Mercadal having spent a few nights looking at various Finca's in Mallorca online. They were really quick to respond to our queries and didn't ask for any deposit to secure the room. When we arrived, it more than lived up to expectations - it's not big, maybe 8 rooms, and because of that it has a lovely...

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The building is old and unrenovated-no bad thing. The rooms are very traditional and the house is a bit like a museum, a real glimpse into traditional Mallorcan life. Food is local and very well cooked, homemade pastries for breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice. The owners do not speak English but...

The stay, The accomodation, the food and the enormous hospitality are what you'd wish for and what you get. For a 1,000%. Maybe you could be negative about the swimming pool's water temperature, but hey, blame the Mallorcan sun.
