Very nice place. Clean apartament. Service every day. Tasty breakfast. Close to beach. Great location. Quiet and peaceful in the hotel. Close to quite a busy street but does not disturb the peace. Ocean view rooms. A bit słów internet in room.
My first time in Portugal. I wanted some quiet time by the sea in a stunningly beautiful area and the Jardim do Vau delivered on all of this plus a lot more. A little dated but spotlessly clean with brilliant facilities and staff were the best, genuinely freindly and extremely helpful. I can't wait to come back and sit on my balcony listening to and watching the waves roll in in front of me, just perfect, a little piece of heaven. The busier Praia da Rocha is just 20min walk away and there is a great shopping centre ( Inc Primark, H&M, Next, Designated and loads more) just 5 min taxi away.
Very comfortable, clean, apartments in a great location overlooking the beach. We were upgraded to a two bedroom apt. with a very large balcony and seaview. Our unit had A/C but we didn't need it. The kitchen was well equipped, and had a full sized fridge. We shopped in the mini market and loved the hot rolls and baked goods. Prices were reasonable. We loved the pool area, umbrellas giving shade if wanted. The pool bar/eating area served the best French fries we found in the area. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The receptionists provided information on bus routes, booked a day trip for us and were instrumental in getting us a rush taxi when our scheduled "airport transfer" did not arrive. (Thanks to Elsa, Marta and Sina for all your help). We liked the proximity to Portimao, Alvor and Praia de Roches, easily reached by local buses. Yes we would definitely come again. …
Pleasant hotel in a good position next to the beach at Portimao. Nice pool for families, though there’s a ridge around it sitting proud where I broke my toe on the first day, this would be a trip hazard in England,so be careful. Small shop on the complex, with limited range, better go it to a proper supermarket. The apartments are pretty basic but are clean and cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Stuck in the 1980s but an excellent location with direct beach access and a good pool. Room are basic but the daily maid service is very good. No aircon though!! How can this be 4 star in 2022?! Bar manned by the rudest, most surly manager ever encountered. Food quality very average at best. Weather was fab!
We came originally in 2018 and really liked the location and apartment, so we wanted to return to PDR so didn’t worry about finding another hotel because this is reasonably priced and we knew it. We came for a week and were again not disappointed, it was all as before. Good pool area with not too many of the towel brigade and we could always get a bed. The apartment has a separate bedroom, seating area, kitchenette and table which is very spacious. There is never noise coming from adjacent rooms, although the road is noisy it doesn’t disturb whilst trying to sleep as you become accustomed to it. The location is great as it is a lovely walk into PDR which we did approximately 3x in and out each day. If the tide is out you can walk along the beach to the castle and Marina and also the other way although by road to Alvor. We would not hesitate to return again in the future.…
I actually have never been to a worse hotel in portugal. The staff are unfriendly and rude, we were told on our third day that no pool games are allowed - then why do they sell balls/floats/etc in the pool shop? Bar service extremely slow and food not good. Actually we aren’t even a week into our stay in this hotel and already are so disappointed we are looking elsewhere. Really wouldn’t recommend Jardim do vau
Praia do Vau Beach is smaller and more family like than the larger Praia da Rocha (beach), which is a 20 minute walk east. Both beaches have plenty of restaurants and bars. Be wary of the tide times if you want long walks along the beaches. The Hotel staff were pleasant and attentive. There's a mini mart to get basic needs, including alcohol and plenty more smaller markets in walking distance. Laundry was $5 EU and they were kind enough to accommodate us as our wash conflicted with a planned trip. The pool restaurant and main restaurant are open at separate times so at one point neither are open. It's a little more pricey at these restaurants than the others nearby for any meals. The rooms are marble like tile everywhere and ours had 2 single beds, almost like cots, separate and low to the floor. However I found them firm and comfortable enough. There was also a small fridge, microwave and stove but no oven. The Hotel is in 2 sections. One nearer to the pool and beach than ours but ours seemed quieter. Stay here and party in da Rcha was our theme.…
We had a lovely sea view apartment in this complex. The apartment and all parts of the complex were spotless. The cleaners were great came every day towels changed every day and bedlinen every other day. Thee are two outdoor pools and a kiddie pool . They also have an indoor pool and fitness room. There is a mini market on site which has all the basics which is handy. The Jardim is in a lovely location overlooking Praia do Vau beach. There are plenty of restaurants and snack bars nearby. Praia de Rocha is only 10-15 minute walk away where there are a large variety of restaurants and shops. It is an ideal place for a relaxing break.
We had a booked a 1 bedroom room with sea view, So was a little disappointed with the actual view , then discovered we had a really big 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, We were in room B111 end of block it was quiet & just loved it can’t fault this hotel at all , spotless on arrival , room was cleaned daily if you wanted , Elsa on reception just lovely & helpful , we only used restaurant once while there & food was good , thank you Pedro 😊
