The Plaza Real is a complex of 63 apartments, self-catering and equipped. The apartments are divided into three types: Studio, T1 and T2 in Duplex, some apartments have a generous balcony. (See the description of the apartments) The Plaza Real has an excellent pool for adults, a pool for children, a playground and a mini tennis court. This accommodation is about 10 minutes walk from the beach. The center of Portimao, Marina de Portimao and Praia da Rocha are 3 minutes. Portimao Railway Station is 3 km from the Plaza Real. This accommodation is recommended by the good price / quality ratio in Portimao. Great place to spend your vacation.

This is our 4th visit to Plaza Real, overall its great, spacious comfortable apartments, well equipped, clean, all good, great location. On our 7th day out of 10, we had been out all day and came back late afternoon to find the apartment had been cleaned, beds changed, clean towels, all good. BUT then I noticed a bottle of pretty nail varnish I'd bought the day before was no longer where I'd left it when we went out in the morning, nowhere to be seen! Now I know it's only a nail varnish, but it's annoying, and it could have been anything, we put away all electronics and valuables in the safe obviously, but I don't think guests should be worrying about leaving nail varnish, perfume, makeup in their rooms and wondering if they will still be there at the end of the week. I've not said anything to reception, as it sounds petty, but it could have been anything. There are a lot of older guests at this time of year who might be more trusting. I shall be packing everything away in future. Disappointed to say the least but it won't stop us returning here as its a good place. …

Beds are very hard but that is easily remedied with an extra mattress under the couch! I wish I had known that... Location is excellent, apartments are very spacious. Breakfast is scarce, nothing green or fresh in it, yet the country is full of vegetables and fruit!? Staff was helpful and nice. The pool has salt water in it, which is great! There is a football field right next to the hotel, which was okay to me but the players are sometimes very noisy.

Perfect spot for an Autumn break away. This is our 2nd time to visit this complex so we knew what to expect (mostly). We were surprised to be asked for a €200 cash deposit when we arrived as we didn't remember that from the last stay. The Plaza Real apts are very clean and spacious properties. The kitchen is very well stocked for a self catering holiday, with everything you will need. This stay, we were situated in the car block and our balcony looked out into waste ground, not ideal but didn't really affect the holiday so there is no point complaining. The beds however were very unz,,comfortable in this room and it really did affect my sleep. I would wake up feeling sore and stiff as a result. What you need to remember is that your apartment is self catering, so you need to do everything yourself here. Empty your bins and if you want a change of towels or bed linen, you need to pay a surcharge. If you want domestic staff to clean your room, its €10 per day. I would definitely recommend these apartments and we have our visit booked for next year already. …

Our apartment was spacious clean and very comfortable. The staff at reception and bar were so lovely and helpful.we will definitely be back!! We had a view of the pool from 3rd floor and outside the front door was a football pitch.was lovely to see and couldn't hear a thing from inside apartment. Overall very happy with our stay

Hi alpha rooms took our money for a two week stay here and never refunded our money also what they want you to do is book with them again but they have doubled their price so you are not getting a refund it is a rip off cowboy outfit. bUYER BEWARE they are using covid as an excuse Yet they never paid the money to hotel So therefore there is no rehash why refunds were not given .Several of my friends were also robbed by alpha rooms using plaza real as bait . I had 3 previous holidays since 2016 in this hotel and they were ok. This time Sept 2021 it was rotten. I checked in at 12.00 noon and asked for my usual or similar apartment. The manager was unfriendly and said I would have to pay an extra €320 , as these apartments had a view of the swimming pool. I refused and he put me in another block where the only view was of a very large waste ground with burned grass. After 8 days I requested a change of sheets and towels . The manager refused and said I would have to use the same sheets and towels for 16 nights, The bed settee/couch kept falling apart ,and the cutlery was dreadful. The kettle was take away on the 2nd last day and never replaced

The apartment have quality and is very spacious, the kitchen equipment is a quite basic, but is possible to cook all the meals. The breakfast is basic and poor. We have WIFI router inside, but the connection is very slow and some times broken. The pool is great, but in some days can get busy, and have a small poll for the kids. The staff very professional and careful. Is possible to park car inside the hotel. To go to the main strip or to the beach is about 10 mins walk.

This is not really a review. We have been staying in Plaza real over the last years both as a couple and with family. We are booked again for October and were wondering if the apartments that were being built a couple of years ago have been completed.

Alpha rooms booked us in here for 19 may 2020 because of COVID. Our trip was cancelled . I can honestly say they are a terrible company to deal with 114 months later still not refunded my money .When you telephone their London number or their Dublin number you will be redirected to a call center in India one man victor seems to be customer relations booking agent cancellations Etc etc when I asked for his surname he said I am just victor. it is possible to use your due refund for to purchase new holidays but I have noticed the new holiday has gone up in price so much that it would negate the refund .My advice is avoid this company or book with them at your peril as all you will get from them is a load of sorry sir from an India call center this is an honest appraisal. Very good value for money for our stay in June, we only went for 5 nights initially but extended our stay for 2 weeks (and then the prices went up for July sadly otherwise we would have stayed longer). The apartment is very spacious, the kitchen equipment provided is quite basic but we managed to cook all our meals fine. We had the WiFi router in our room so it was really good although I heard it's not as strong in rooms further from the router. The on site restaurant served amazing value food, it was homemade and delicious - burger and chips for €3, fish and chips €5, beer & wine €1.50. The staff were really helpful, you can get extra toilet roll and bin bags from reception, and new towels/bedding changed every 7 days. The pool was great although it can get busy. The walk to the main strip and the beach was about 10mins.…
